Hi All -

This is my first journal and second real grow. Just made a new setup and would like to share my progress with you guys :).

System - Custom made from materials at home depot. 12 Site unit with 3.75" net cups.
Lighting - 2 digital 600watt ballasts, MH for veg and HPS for flower. (thx htg!)
Nutes - General Hydroponics (for now).
Water Filtration - 0 ppm portable 100GPD RO filter from ebay (only $70!)
PH and TDS meter to monitor water.

So far my ladies are 3-4 weeks old (from seed).

This is currently what the setup looks like: (still under development)

I had to pull the lights up because they where bleaching the ladies, noob mistake.
The rear 6 are chronic, front six are sharksbreath.

A better view of the ladies.

Waterflow.

Current nutrients I'm working with, I still have to go back and get more, but my local store is always sold out :(.

Looks like I'm going to have to get my carbon filter sooner than I thought, the sharksbreath is already stinky!

More updates to come as the ladies progess, thanks for reading! Yes, I know, I need to paint this room white!

PS - if you are interested in growing aeroponics nft, do not buy these systems online, you can build these up yourself with parts from home depot that might run you $100, no sense in spending $400-$600! It may not look as pretty, but functionality will be just as good.

Posting up more pics for a quick update.

Flushing the roots, putting them in transition stage.

The chronic is growing much faster/better than sharksbreath.

For some reason I think the root pictures look cooler than the plant pics lol.

Question, is the leaf curl enough to pull the lights farther back or is it not really a big deal since its only for 2% of the leaves and is minor?

I vegged them for about 6 weeks from seed. I noticed sharksbreath starts very slow compared to chronic. But it looks like it is starting to catch up now.

Alright so I put my ladies in flower, they are still growing quite fast, hoping they slow down soon or I might run into some space issues.

Got some hairs starting to poke out.

Yeah i got some nute burn going on, and some tops being burned by the light. laying off the nutes and not vegging for so long next time.

Let me know what you think.

Great job. Keep it up. I get a little leaf curl too. It happens when you have no air cooled lights. No big deal unless its most of them. I am subed.

alright, i have finally harvested :). i got ok yields but i think i let them get a bit too tall for the room, a few plants where stealing most of the light.

i decided to get a light mover and the growzilla dual bulb reflector. going to use MH and HPS all the way through. Will be posting pics once all 12 of the sour kush have been germed and setup.

That crazy leaf above must be the chronic because my leaves are the same
