Afghan Kush Ryder 250w HPS Grow

I've got fucking pinky/purple buds! I'm so stoked as it's the first time my one of my grows has coloured. I didn't really notice it until I shined my phone light on it. I'm hoping it'll get more intense over the next few days and then even more intense once they've been cured. You can see how covered in resin they are

Bad news is the boiler guy is coming over tomorrow and the plants fucking stink so I'm going to have to hide them in my garden somewhere for a few hours during the day. It's pretty cold at the moment and I think it's meant to rain. My plants are big enough to handle it but I'm expecting it to slow their development a touch. You never know, the cold temps might make them even more pink.

They are both nearly done to my liking now. I'd say about 90% of the hairs are orange and receding. I could harvest them now but I like doing the 48 or 72 hour dark period.
Sorry I couldn't get any pictures, I've been super busy today. So I'll be harvesting on day 55, see you then!

I'm an impatient fuck so I harvested them today. It looks ages! The buds have an almost overwhelming pine smell. Here's how much I got (one of the buds is nearly 2ft!):



I got one small bud drying quickly on my radiator just dying to packed into a bong. I'll probably be back with a mini smoke report in a bit, I'm expecting it to be pretty harsh.

I've been following this journal for so long it feels like I should be in on the harvest. Enjoy your harsh bong hit Jamie - you earned it.

Thanks dude! You should have commented The bong hit wasn't that harsh, surprisingly. Didn't get much of a taste because my glass bong broke so I had to use a crappy clogged up pipe.

Everything is dried nicely now and is slowly curing away. I got 60g all together, so basically an 1oz per plant. The phenotypes were very different:

-One was definitely sativa dominant (70-30) with it's long thin buds and the high is so different from the indica body stone I'm used to. It was a very energetic high.
-The other was about 60-40 indica so not the biggest yielder compared to some pure indicas I've grown and it the high is the classic full body stone where you can sit playing games for hours on end running in circles and still find it entertaining (speaking from personal experience on the new creed last night)

I can't really say much about the taste because it isn't fully cured yet and the pipe I'm using makes any green taste foul, but it is a nice smooth smoke.

I'll do a detailed smoke/grow report some time before Christmas once I've got some new glass and given the buds a nice cure.

nice harvest man! looks good, glad you pulled through. like to see how much bud developement goes on in the last few days. just put mine in for 36 of dark cause it hermid so i had to harvest on day 52, bud should still be good. i cant wait to see your next grow man, any strains planned?

What nutes did u use during your grow? was wondering if FF Tiger bloom would work during flowering and Grow Big duing veg after 1st or 2nd week.
