being prior military lets me know that the government enjoys overpaying for shit. 387 dollars for a flat countersunk washer is dumb, stupid and retarded..but yet we have and do. Same fucking washer you can get at home depot for cents. You keep thinking you getting something different. we also paid 180 for rechargeable flashlights. No different than any other flashlight except for the military color
the bitches even leak underwater. The government loves over paying for shit. Free money from you
I'm going to have to say no to this.... if you really did have a degree in aerospace engineering you would know that airplanes are very delicate - and everything has to be to spec. EVERYTHING. every bolt is considered unique, every fastener, every little tube, every fitting. when people start fudging around with replacing parts with equivalents - that's when accidents happen on planes....

I don't have a degree in aerospace engineering but I knew a guy that did and I would hear all about how planes got grounded due to a missing bolt, a missing rivet, missing fittings..... a single piece that's not available, but everything has to be original to the manufacturer's specs.........

I get the government sometimes overpays for items but come on now.... you know well you cannot just go to Ikea and Home Depot and find parts to put on a plane...

If I told you a plane that you were about to board did not have manufacturer vetted parts and service items installed on it - would you fly on it? Seriously, do you consider that a safe way to maintain an aircraft? I told you, hey the fridge in this plane broke so we got one at home depot and just plugged it in.... would you sign off on that service ticket???????

get the hell out of here.....

son I purposely forgot more about aircrafts then you will even know in your lifetime. If you think for one moment that you cannot get the same fucking stainless steel countersink washer that can be used on an aircraft from home depot..well I guess you will just continue to being one ignorant motherfucker.
Have seen some washers from fucking Ace being used on cargo seats to get a snugger fit. The acft was a KC 10. Also seen a common bolt use to secure a latrine door on-board a cargo plane as well. . I would ask you do do know what aviation snips are but I would have to wait too long for you to find out. Its a tool for sheet metal in aviation you can get left, right offset etc.color coded for a reason.... You can buy it at home depot or Sears, along with your stainless steel counter sunk washer and a common bolt. No one is talking about Hi Loks or fasteners that you would use in the cockpit, bulkhead, on the fuselage or any where it is close tolerance holes, pressure tolerance, calibration accuracy etc...wait do you know what a fuselage is?? . And who the fuck said anything about fucking IKEA. Stick to hardware stores or you will appear stupider.
Also acfts can fly with missing rivets. Depend on where, how many, what kind. Never saw a pop rivet ground a fucking plane. Oh my another product you can get from Home Fucking depot. Now a solid shank rivet different story. Do you wish to hear how some crew chiefs did a quick fix on some cowling when I was in Mildenhall ....wait do you know what cowling is ?? And who the fuck said anything about buying the fridge from Homedepot ?? I guess this you wanting to appear dumb as fuck again.
