AK-47 in Aerogarden

. This is my second attempt at using the Aerogarden Deluxe. The first time, I was very discouraged because my 7 Afghani Kush (Feminized) seeds died in my Aerogarden after I germinated them in a paper towel. I had the Aerogarden on 24 hour setting, distilled water, and no nutrients. I think I might have put the seeds too low in the grow sponge, because the roots became reallly brittle and snapped.

Since then my local pharmacy gave me 9 AK-47 seeds for free. All 9 have germinated and now I am giving this a second shot. I have 7 seeds in my Aerogarden and all 7 have sprouted successfully! My other 2 seeds are in soil in pots. I plan to see which plants are healthier, either the potted plants or the Aerogarden. This time around I have done the following with good results: Bought an airstone and pump, used 2 small aerogarden nutrient tablets, using tap water, and I changed my setting to Tomatoe/Pepper setting. I am planning to veg these seedlings to about 6" to 7" tall then move them over to my grow room which consist of a DWC hydroponic system and air cooled 400w light. I currently am finishing up my flowering phase of my Larry OG Kush, and hopefully by the time those are done (4 more weeks), I can move my AK-47 to that room. I also have a very big outdoor operation, but I will make another thread on those later on.

5/19 Updated pictures. Changed reservoir and added 1/4 strength Canna Aqua Vega to tap water, ph'd water to 5.5.

7 days after germination: Pictured below are my aerogarden after 7 days in the aerogarden. I used 2 small tablets of the Aerogarden nutes for 5 days, then switched to Canna Aqua Vega at 1/4 strength. As you can see they are blowing up pretty nice. I also took a picture of the 2 seedlings that are in pots to show you a comparison in the growth. The ones in pots look tiny, weak, small and slow at growth.

ya man good looking...and good luck...i built my own aeroponics unit like ures using a ruber made container..the only real downer is by the time those finish ur plants will have taken over a large space...but if you got the right strain and have the room its perfect...

Day 13-umm....I think I fed my plants some steroids by accident, cuz they blew up! They are huge! Im getting worried about the roots getting tangled before I can move them into the flowering room. My OG Kush is only at 10% red hairs. I hope I can go another 3 weeks in the AG...I think I might have to trim the roots when I take it out of the AG. My plants have been drinking up that Canna Aqua Vega everyday. I have to fill it a decent amount just to keep them happy. When my premixed one gallon is done, im going to increase my nutes to half strength, then to full strength after that one is done..

So my OG Kush plants have finally been harvested, and I decided to move my AK47 over to my other room. I was amazed of how efficient my aerogarden was. I will now vegetate my plants until they reach about 24" tall then start flowering them. I only had room for 6 plants, so I kept the smallest aerogarden plant by itself in the aerogarden.

hey I am recently interested in buying a hydroponics system but I don't know which to buy, an aerogarden or a dual spectrum bubbleponics system. Please reply I would really appreciate your advice
