Ak48 Almost done!

Just wanted to post some pics of my ak48 grow, almost there! Grew 3 plants for 8 1/2 weeks from seed then switched to 12/12 and am on day 61 from the 12/12 switch. The leaves have been yellowing a good amount so I'm pretty sure it's getting close. Pistils are getting dark too. I'm still getting the hang of looking at tricomes but I don't think I see any amber yet. Anyways, here's a few pics from today. Let me know what you all think.

I hope he isnt flushing. Anyway, it looks like you are getting close but you still have a little bit of time left. Keep an eye on those trics and i think you are on your way to a beautiful harvest. I am growing ak48 as well, cant wait to see finished product.

No I'm not it's flushing, I figured since the leaves are yellowing they should probably just be kept on nutes until harvest with zero flushing. I'm still kind of new though so I could be wrong. Yea I figured at least another week or so before harvest but I'm happy with how the yield looks so far.
Does that look like excessive yellowing or about normal towards end of flower? Thanks for the input!

Feed until 2 days before harvest and flush 2x pot volume on your last feed. Feeding until harvest improves yield potency and smell. This is my opinion. Not telling you what to do.

Sorry for edit. But I honestly think flushing is a myth. Taste smell burn are all in the cure imho.

Nameste!

7 - 10 days and those white pistols should turn like others said check the trichs also if you think it's done give it another week.

From what I seen in the pics I wouldn't up the feed any more than what it is is that a little nute burn on the leaves?

There's plenty of chlorosis going on in his leaves. Nitrogen would be the main culprit for chlorophyll (the main reason for harsh taste). He's completely fine with current feedings....

I'm glad to hear that I'm on my way to a nice harvest! Yes there was some nute burn, I had been out of state for like 1 1/2 weeks and had to have a friend fill the reservoirs. He doesn't grow though so they got a bit too much. I'm hoping to chop next Saturday. I like the idea of giving another week when you think they're done though so we'll see.

So I'm hoping that tomorrow is the day! It would be 10 weeks from the 12/12 change, if you count 1 week for transition that would put me at 9 weeks, or 64 days. Here's a few pics I just took. Im kind of new but I don't think I saw any amber, but the trichs all look cloudy to me and the hairs are mostly turning darker. Let me know what you all think?

Try to look at the trichs if you can. The brown and orange hairs indicate ripening. Sometimes it will happen from the top down. Some people chop mature buds leaving immature or not as mature buds to stay on the plant a little longer yo finish. All is up to you. It looks fantastic and tasty. I would wait another week. But that's what I all ways do. Wait 1 week past when I think it's done and it works out well for me.

Did you run GH 3 part plus there koolbloom? Looks just like the stuff I grew with that series.

Happy Growing!

Enjoy your harvest!

Yea I used their 3 part nutrients. I'll try and look at the trichs again, they all looked cloudy to me but I don't think I saw any amber. I'm really hoping to harvest over the long weekend and take my time but I don't want to be too impatient. Thanks for the input as always and I'll post some pics and info of the harvest whenever it happens.

Dang! Knew it. There stuff is easy and works pretty well. I would suggest their rippiner. I can't remember the name. But it's like 0-28-42. Some shit like that. I would suggest it if you have ran the line the whole way through. Use it lightly the first week the double and double. If you have been feeding heavy go half of what you would normally use. So 1000 ppm normal feeding do 500 of the rippiner .Then up each week if they like it. You use it the last 3 weeks if I remember right.

Also if using gh. Use 1/2 Tsp. Of Epsom salt with every other feeding. It lacks a touch of Mg. Right amount of Mg will benefit all other nutes. But if using cal mag do not use any epsom salt.

Plants look Amaaaaazzzzziiiinng!!!
:)
