I’m not afraid of jail, I’m more afraid of lawyers sucking my lfe savings dry, loosing my ability to travel and any stigma my family would face. My priorities are my families well being, it’s either quit my passion or go legit. It would be foolish to jeprodize my family when there’s another alternative. I’m going legal, after 30 years of hiding from the man. I’m not selling out, I’m growing up.

I think that as long as they hold the price artificially high, there will be plenty of growers on the small end of things,doing business as usual...because basically any "ashen colored " market dealer
who has 20 to 30 friends, who buy regularly , will not see any impact re legal cannabis.

This is where the gov. is going to lose out....simply put, these people could have taken this hobby and turned it into a TAX paying enterprise.
and there would have been thousands upon thousands of these small businesses.
This would have been the gov's best bet had they seen the light....
The jobs this would create and the taxes paid for everything hst wise, would be very large numbers.

Times are a changing, you either need to adapt for the future or get left behind. 90% of my clients see the writing on the wall, they are preparing for legalization. The rest are holding out, but I predict the smart ones will follow suite soon. The grey market is nearly dead, last month $1600lbs for quads, this month $1300 for the same. Next month ???? Who knows what going to happen in the BM.

i just mean that "growing up is not the correct word..

Legal/Corporate is and i am not being negative....you will form a corporation if you haven't already

or some legal entity to be legal..commercial,,cra mandates this in some form and you alreadybknw nthis.

Touché, you are correct. I’m already incorporated, that’s to protect my personal assets and liabilities. Simply a way to keep my life and business separate. I don’t think of myself as a typical corporation, more of a small business owner.

I have been claiming my cannabis income since 2009, as an independent contractor/consultant (MMAR DG). Incorporated last year, ive got nothing to hide, I’m a ligit cannabis business owner.

We got our genetics from the same place as the LPs. That would never fly since it would be a barrier to any patient wanting to start a business.

yes but lp's will be fighting for trademarks and plant breeding rights for everything they have... You got lawyers on the payroll like lp's? There was almost 2000 filings last time I looked... You don't think they plan on putting out seed sellers too? What happens when the lp or gov distribution dna test your product and claims "al la monsanto" that that's their genetics... What about seed to sale, it's coming....

Based on what evidence exactly?? How can they protect something they got from the breeder who created it and sells it to seedbanks as well? And on what grounds using what laws will they not only enter my home but also take tissue samples, AND pay to have them tested? For ALL 100k+ medical patients? Sorry, Id rather base assumptions on facts and reality.
