A "municipal approval process" for growing 4 plants...hahahahahaha! Where are they going to find the money to hire thousands of people to check every household? If a house is capable of safely supporting home growing of a primrose or fern, it should be fine for any other fucking plant. Why is it these idiots can't figure out that people safely grow plants in nearly every house in the province and nothing is going to change because it's weed?
Growing without a permit is only a fine and they need a warrant to come and check - why would anyone register?

Our school's one fence is made up out of fucking poisonous flowers.
I forgot the name now, but they will fucking kill you if you eat it.
Kids seem to navigate around it with none having eaten any ever.

Prohibition V2 is going to make more money than the first.

Alberta Health policies are among the most frustrating to deal with. Good luck finding a a doctor that's educated on the matter as the AHS stance is largely based on remaining hand in hand with pharma. I only stay medical for the added protection but if there was an alternative, I would never set foot in a doctors office. I'd love to know how my dozen plants are an issue for the "public health and safety" of my neighbors. It's been years and they still have no clue.

I've been waiting for this bullshit to come out from Wynne in ON. Registering to grow a legal plant, like all other plants you can grow anywhere. F*k'ng morons. I haven't registered for medical, as if I'd register for rec/legal, seriously idiotic and a waste of tax dollars, even if they come from MJ sales.

Just another idiot idea from idiot politicians. This law will die from non-compliance. No judge is going to issue a warrant to search a residence for legal plants. There has to be evidence of serious crime, and growing without a permit is merely a bylaw infraction. They don't have the police resources to go after people for growing a plant or the court resources to prosecute. Unless you are operating a large scale grow and selling outside of the tax collector's realm, no one should be concerned. Take note of the politicians who support this and make sure you vote in the next election.
In a few years we will look back and laugh at how worked up we got over political stupidity.

Exactly, these stupid by-law items are what the provinces want/need millions of dollars for. Unneeded systems to manage "issues" that don't exist, other than in their tiny little minds...

Some of my neighbors smoke, but all of them know I grow. Some of them actually think weed might be bad because they are so old and have been told so, but they like me so they don't care. They know it is for medical reasons anyways. Gotta love the sticks.
