!!!! Algae !!!!! Need to get rid of it ???

HAVE SOME FIERCE ALGAE GROWING ON THE TOPS OF MY ROCKWOOL AROUND MY STEMS,, ANY SAFE WAY TO KILL IT ??:leaf:

several ideas spring to mind....but i don't know what i am doing yet.
Take with a MASSIVE grain of salt and suspicion.

1. It's normal and won't hurt anything.
2. Rockwool is to wet...it's suppose to be damp, not saturated.
3. Algae needs light to grow...place a sheet of panda plastic (with a slit cut in it for the stem) white side up over your cubes.
4. Perhaps better air flow in the general area of the stems could help.

you could use RW covers like these but if you dont it isnt going to kill your plants just looks like shit i know guys who grow and there entire RW looks colored green and it dont bother them it just makes for a really crappy pic lol.

I had algae do the same thing to my 6 inch cubes and it didnt hurt anything just put a piece of coco or something on top of it like chuby said and your fine.
