All Females

i started with 22 seedlings that actually sprouted and due to overwatering and some stupid mistakes im down to 12 plants but they are all females what are the chances of this i keep hearing on here that you have a 50/50 ratio and the only thing i did that may have contributed to this is i am running them on a 16/8 rather than 18/6 and used a little extra nitrogen i heard both of these will make more females
did what i did help or was it just luck?

My guess is that you had good luck. Lower PH levels are said to induce more females then males but even if you master the PH level you will usually still end up with some males. I would plant another batch with the same conditions as you did with this one and see if you get the same results. I can be almost certain that your next batch will have some males unless you are using feminized seeds. If you think about it 12 out of 22 seedlings is around a 50% ratio it was just good luck that you accidentally killed the male seedlings.

Happy smoking,

Dude, 12 for 12, I love it! This is an ongoing debate that will plague us for the ages. However, I believe in what you did. Here is a list of environmental factors that will effect sex, you'll see that what you did was right on.
Now some people don't believe in this, and that's fine were all entitled to grow how we want.

* a higher nitrogen concentration will give more females.
* a higher potassium concentration will give more males.
* a higher humidity will give more females.
* a lower temperature will give more females.
* more blue light will give more females.
* Fewer hours of light will give more females.

Peace

i personally think that there is supposed to be a balance to create the seed of life, and that is why we've discovered that there is about 50/50. but of coarse we humans just love f*kn with everything to make it, well beter. my 2 sence, for what it is worth.

I dont' know about you guys but do you think this could be a result of using seeds from a hermie plant? I would like to know if you got your seeds from a bag or from a seed bank. I've read around that self pollinating plants (mostly female then have some small male flowers) would result in all females, then some might turn hermie after a while. Just a thought.

the seeds came from a couple different bags some were mid a couple were kush but most of the survivors i think are the mid cause i cant see a distinct difference in any of them and if any of the kush made it i would think i would see a difference at this point
