Same theory, terrible sketch haha
Have 3 cobs on each side staggered
Use aluminum U channel stock and house the drivers and wires etc inside. Use flat stock on the open side able to be affixed & removed for installation of drivers etc. Mount the whole fixture inside of an old hps cool tube and duct it like conventional hps light.

Skip the external cool tube and just draw the air up the inside.

Update for today, the second 3x3 tray came in for the other tent. So I got everyone out, cleaned the floor real well and dropped the tray in and put everyone back. Today I adjusted lights in both tents, I am very happy maintaining 14" DTC (Distance to Canopy) throughout the grow once they are no longer small seedlings or clones that have not established. I top dressed the plants in veg with Bio- Fish, and everyone was watered with tap water, fish fertilizer, and Ful-Power today. These two tents are pretty much setup how I want for now, couple more things but they can wait as getting the 4x8 going is more important. I cleaned up some more today and put the ballast and cables away from the 4x8. In the next day or two I will take down the hoods, and re route the exhaust for the filter, and then start tackling cleaning up it's a mess in there lol........

The plan is to move the tent from the wall as I have the space so I can access the grow from both sides and run two separate 4x4 areas with LED's over them. I will set (2) 4x4 trays on the floor and go from there. I am considering getting a fabric raised bed with the built in framing for a net........

Anyways here's a few shots of the garden from tonight:

so whats your conclusion on the comparison?
I've stated several times in the thread before. "For Me" and how I grow and run different strains all the time the Single Engine COB's make more sense because of ease of adjust ability it's really that simple. I think it let's you get more efficient use of your light source being able to customize if you will distance to canopy with each COB even though as a whole they add up to your "light" not sure if that makes sense? Also less heat with them and they're just so easy to use.

Nice grow. Where is your drivers in the tent ?

It used brushes in the hub to transfer AC power to the rotating arms; the ballasts were on the arms with the lamps and reflectors. This meant that it could not be UL listed. The brushes would eventually wear out and could easily damage the ballasts near their end of life.
He never heard of brushless AC motors?

Edit: NM, I see how it was used.
