Nope, you're the one questioning my post. I just don't like it when people imply that Churchill was any kind of a hero.

I questioned your logic after your illogical post. There was no implication. You made the inference that a quote from somebody you consider a racist was a tacit agreement of that person, in this case Churchill.
You are looking for and finding something that wasn't there, either wilfully or ignorantly.
Like I said, looking for an argument.

The point was that TT was quoting Churchhill saying that America would try everything else before it would do the right thing, that statement is the height of hypocrisy. So the quote is crap like most of the things Churchilll said and did. You, are the one looking for the argument either willfully or ignorantly.

    LOL.
I'm correcting your logic and comprehension of English. If that to you is looking for an argument then good luck with that.
Again, to clarify for you. Quoting what somebody said doesn't mean that the person using that quote agrees with that persons ideological position. To say it does is factually wrong.

To clarify for you, I never said that one quote made him a racist. Most people think that Churchill was some kind of hero and think that they do identify with him until they learn what his views and actions really were.

You can't even clarify what you said 5 minutes ago. I'll do it for you.
You questioned why somebody should quote someone whom you deem to be a racist. I pointed out that quoting what somebody said doesn't mean that the person agrees with Churchills actions. It is merely a recollection of what Churchill said. Nothing more.
You tried to turn this into something other than it was because you've got a bee in your bonnet about Churchill. That's up to you but what isn't up to you is that fact that using a quote is no more than exactly that.

Quit while you're behind dude. You've dug deep enough for every reasonably intelligent person to realise you are in the wrong. You don't seem to know the difference between an implication and and inference.
Enjoy the rest of your argument. I won't be taking any further part because A. I've made my point and B. I'm correct and you are wrong.

Sounds like you have patriotic holy wood fever, America is not the greatest country on earth mate. Churchill was a cunt, sterling was a cunt, Hitler was a cunt, most American presidents were cunts. As they are clearly well versed to do so, I'd trust the words of a cunt calling out another cunt any day.

You don't read my post and then align me to a person like that, with every post you make, Ignorance is showing to be your biggest attribute. Saying American gun culture is a bad thing = the grounds for anarchy?. Obviously that backs you into a corner now.. please don't shoot.

Then or at this point in time that may be true, but it won't stay that way, never has never will. Since the beginning of war one group has initiated violence against others and/or itself. You could have 9 peaceful pacifist nations and only 1 aggressive nation. Soon you will have only 1 nation under those circumstances. Proof of this is by the ridiculous amount of tribes and even human species that have been wiped out. Violence is in our dna, taking over shit is in our dna. It is not going to go away this is a fact you need to come to terms with. The only real solution is to limit the aggressors so that 8 peaceful nations can exist along side a aggressive nation. Nation 9 (ideally one or two others to keep 9 in check) has to be capable of being just as aggressive as nation 10 in order to keep 10 in check. I am not saying America is nation 9 but look at the situation in north Korea right now. How glad are you America is in a position to limit that nut case.

Your choice of quote is psychologically interesting. Nations can not survive abiding by the principles of Martin Luther king, it's seriously fantasy land. For as long as we have free will it is a certainty some will choose bad, that is what defines free will. On a domestic scale, one nut job in a super market with a semi automatic?. The answer is not to give everybody a semi automatic to defend themselves, it is to remove the availability of that automatic while also having trained groups to deal with aggression, In this domestic case the police is number 9. It also would not hurt that all people have basic physical self defense skills. Shit is always going to go down be it bombs, guns, knives or fists. Rather it be fists.

    @StonerCol your suggestions are brilliant!

The outlandish sums of money in politics simply aren't necessary.

As an example, much of that money goes to television ad campaigns. The People own the airwaves; simply pass legislation to require TV stations to set aside a certain amount of time each political season for advertising, gratis. Now the various campaigns only have to produce the ads, a drastically less expensive activity.

Major television networks will hate it because they've gotten used to the revenue but what have they used it for? Better programming? HA! Just looking their own shareholder's pockets, more like. Remove the monetary incentive and suddenly we get objectivity back. Win-win!

Hitler started what eventually became Volkswagen. Does that mean everyone who drives one is a Nazi?

Give us a break with the false equivalencies.

I'm sure there are ways, and I agree the amount of money invovled could go to better things. But, how do you keep every Dick, Joe, Bob and Sue from running?

What happens in the UK is that each individual or Party pays an amount as a deposit - currently £500 - and they need to get 5% of votes in order to get that deposit returned. It isn't a perfect system because it penalises the smaller Parties but it does tend to stop the drunk idiot from the pub standing for election.
Saying that we have a "Party" called "The Monster Raving Loony Party" who always lose their deposit but they get a few giggles....

Churchhill was a scumbag because he was a scumbag. How bout that? The quote he made was the height of hypocrisy. and stop with the false equivalency crap. I asked you why you would want to quote a hypocritical statement from Churchill. Where did I say that YOU were a racist or equivalent to him in any way, shape or form.
Whoopie! Irma is gonna miss us entirely!

Stalin said some things worth quoting and thinking about.
"The only real power comes out of a long rifle."

"The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic."

You can quote somebody without agreeing with their ideology.

Hitler was awful but he was honest. One can get a sense of the fascist ideology by reading his words.

    why the bitterness?

By that comment you seem manipulated by the current political puppet string of delusional anti establishment far left hippie love. Anything not as left as you must surely be sexist, racist, capitalist right wing extremists to be ignored and ridiculed, wheres the love?. I don't conform to one political group or position and I would not agree/hold more respect for somebody just because they ''support the same side''. Shame more people don't have the ability to agree or disagree with a single notion entirely on how it helps people, rather than being swayed by the current ''team spirit'' manipulations that are only set out to divide us into voting power blocks. Black lives matter, feminist movement yada yada, all way over hyped or fabricated bull shit by main stream media to galvanize fear and blind anger for a witch hunt.

Removing guns from the hands of people who think it is a ''constitutional right'' to own one is the complete opposite of a reactionary comment. That mentality is flawed on so many levels. Namely, this is not the same world we lived in back then.. you don't need civilians owning guns. Just like we don't need white or any man owning slaves.
