Its shroom season obviously and we just got a really good rain here.

I found a few dozen of these little guys and I think they're amantia muscaria but I'm not really sure.

Most of the Fly agaric I've seen have scales on them, the ones shown here don't. I'm no expert and obviously that's why I'm asking for some help.

Let me get your opinions on these.

I'm very aware of the controversy on amanita muscaria versus psycobilin containing mushrooms

They've been identified as meadow mushrooms. I will not be eating them. :)

lol, if they were trippy there would be alot more squirrels and chipmunks outside running around making weird noises, amanitas normally have raised white bumps, not flat ones, or at least thats what ive noticed

yeah they aren't fly agarics. the stem is too smooth there is no evidence of th skirt and it doesnt turn bulbous at end of stalk dont eat them

Those don't look like amanita muscaria to me. I've bought and found aminata muscaria and they usually don't look quite like that. Granted the colors share some superficial similarities, there are too many differences in how these look to make me think they are amanita muscaria.

And personally, I don't fuck around with amanita muscaria anymore anyhow because the buzz isn't all that great from my experience. Real amanitas made me basically just drowsy - and I really got the "fearlessness" they say is associated with them. Aside from that I didn't experience any euphoria or anything you get out of psilocybin so I don't bother with them anymore.
