If he's stuck on leds check out the 600w galaxy hydro. I have 2 that I've bought in the last 2 months. They work pretty good, I'm not saying they are the best, but they work good.
You can get a 600w air cooled apollo hps for the same price. About 180$ then another 150 for 6 inch fan and filter if you don't already have one. I did this 2 weeks ago.
This dropped my room temps 10 degrees and the light compared to led is ridiculous.

yeah i told him it was bunk. i knew it was gonna be but i told him i'd ask you all before he bought it lol even thought i knew it was too good a price to be a good light. he never listens though haha, but i think he did this time.

my friends that have good LEDs use the same amount of wattage as they would in HPS. I just keep rockin my HPS :)
