Amending FFOF to be used with Roots Organics lineup

Hey everyone, long time lurker-only posted a few times prior (I believe?).

Anyways, I took a break from doing my casual Organic Outdoor thing the previous two years, but I am looking to get back into the swing of things.

I have plenty of FFOF available (I have always used this soil), in addition to the Roots Organics lineup (all bottled ferts + myco powder). I like to aerate the nutes prior to feeding both in veg/flower.

I am not looking necessarily for a "Super Soil" or "No-Till", but rather just improving the base FFOF with either coco/peat moss, worm castings, and more drainage (perlite/vermiculite). Next year I am looking to do a traditional Super Soil.

Usually when I read recipes most people add in all the additional amendments, which I am not looking to really purchase since I already have a good amount of nutrients on hand. Since I will be feeding the plant with bottled "organics" (apparently they still "feed" the roots/soil food web), I think creating anything that would be Super Soil'ish (additional Guanos, Meals, etc.) would be overkill for the plants?

In your opinions what would you add to the FFOF?
-I have never used coco, and this grow will be outdoors. Most say sphagnum peat moss is superior.
-I was thinking of the Roots Organic worm castings, although "Bu's Malibu Compost" looks tempting.
-Some like to cut their FFOF with either Roots 707 or Happy Frog, thoughts?

Right now I have some seeds going in dixie cups under T-5 (Greenpoint Hickok Haze and Female Seeds C99), which will eventually be moved to 1 gallon/3 gallon and finish in 5 gallon outside.

Anyways thanks for any input and happy growing!

peat and coco combo is fine. but if you increase one portion of the base mix, you'll have to increase all portions to keep the base mix equal parts peat/coco, compost/ewc, and aeration. So just plan on that. you may even want to go a little less on the compost since you're using a bottled regiment. maybe 15-20% compost, 30-35% drainage, and the rest peat/coco.

you don't have to use one or the other for compost... use both! diversity is key!

i don't see much of a purpose of cutting the mix with any of the other bagged soils... they're not hot mixes (people tend to think they are because they try and feed from bottles too soon). Mostly use just plain water for the first few weeks of vegging, which i'm sure you know, and then start on your bottle regiment. and yeah, no need to add amendments to the mixes if you're using bottles since you're providing the plant with what it needs in a pre-chelated form. if they look hungry, just increase ppm of the feed, simple as that!

Honestly, I have flowered plants in #7 pots using nothing but FFOF with tap water and they have come out great. You could add some drainage if you are the sort to overwater, but I don’t think even that’s necessary.
