Ill be gettting the 1/8 from Lowes for $19 a 24x36in sheet, the mesh one is $29 i think it was tho, seen someone here use it, and it looked prettty usefull, especially for air flow. Would of really wanted to put all the drivers on the outside of the grow box, like a command center. So, its just hook up in the grow box, and the 1 plug into the entire unit.

I have some time, so maybe in the next few weeks, I current ly doing a test on my 125 watts modded mars300 i want to run till completion in a 2x2, so i have time to build light and box till then, looking at 9 weeks or so. So going to take thinking time, lol, think 40 times, build once, lol..

Its should be a badass light tho for sure.

Your thread here and the other one, helped tremendously.

Oh, and one of these drivers could actually run a COB? with 48 volts? Just the drivers being slim are worth the $10 each, lol.
Ya know, I never measured open circuit voltage ok the drivers. I think they're constant current. So, if you have cobs that work well ago .3-.5a range and 40-50v you should be able to power them successfully. I guess I could measure everything at open circuit to see what it looks like. What's your modded mars look like? Leave a pic, I went to do something similar. My magnum 357 panel was pretty much the original led panel back in the day (2011). It's got a great rectangular slate heatsink but old as heck 3w diodes. I need to measure it to see if I can fit five strips on it or a bunch, like 8, of citi1212 chips at low-low power.

YEah, its not big deal on the Drivers and COBS thing, I dont plan on it, just good to know i guess, lol..

My mars, waht i did was replaced 40 diodes of the 60. 34 4000K, and 6 Fullspectrum diodes, then i put lenses on it. its really a great light for veg, now im going to see how it does in flower. 125 watts at wall.

I get 600 par at 36 inches, which is where my lights are now. Its like 1300 at 18inches. So these are 41 days from seed, 3th day flower, ( first of sight pistil )

oh, and yeah, 5 are out, lol.. I didnt have a chance to break it down, might be bad diodes. I had a few that didnt work when i got them. It was tedious from the start, never soldered before really, but by the time i got to the last diode, i had my time down to like 15 seconds to remove and replace each diode.

Hey dude sorry it's taken me so long to visit your thread. Plants looks great dude, and I bet you are ready to pop those mephisto seeds. I'm going to build a cabinet similar to yours, just gotta get the funds saved. I don't think they're too expensive to build. Luckily for me I have a friend who is about to be a journeyman carpenter which is the highest you can go in that trade... I think, at least that's what he's told me. Another friend has all the tools so it'll be nice.

It cost me 50$ or so in wood to build the cab. It needs slightly more headroom. I haven't put in my carbon filter yet and the fan is going to have to go on the outside for sure. Im a bit unsure what to do about that because I want it stealthy and lockable. I love watching cab build threads for ideas

I'll keep that in mind. For fifty bucks that's something I could easily do and afford this weekend or next.

i just dd the math for a 2x4x4 and just the wood cost $44.21 before tax. then figure in the hinges and door handles and its about 50$. you'd still have to paint the inside white and the cost compared to ebay or amazon purchased 2x4x6 hydro tent is higher. May end up buying a small tent. I had a 4x8x8 and it was awfully large and a pain to take down. I'm trying to sell it locally

Gotchya. Yeah the plan is to have a 18"x32"x60" cabinet. I still don't know where I'll put the air filter either. That I'll figure out. Are the plans pretty simple on constructing a grow cab. I may end up doing it with my girlfriend.

oh, incredibly. Its as simple as drawing a 3d cube and giving it dimensions. you'll quickly see the length, width, and height of each face to the cube. Then you can also imagine the frame dimensions. I only picked 2'x4'x4' because a 4'x8' ply sheet is the cheapest plywood sheet available, and a 2"x4" is 7'75" long (mind as well be 8'). So i can get it cut at the store since its just halve and quarter divisions of the parts. Then cut the holes with a dremel at home and assemble. Paint it white inside and whatever the heck outside. I really would like to use a stencil on the outsides. You can make them out of magazine covers reinforced with duct tape... or buy them. Im thinking a paint roller would be turbo easy to apply.

It looks pretty powerful even hung at such a height. Did you have problems with it lower? Seems like i needed the fans on 24/7 when i used COB lighting.

It is really bright. I think they do have a problem when its like 24 inches away. The things is, par will be 1200, but only like 45,000 lux. The lenses make it really powerful. I orginally wanted to do 2 of there, and put in Solex greenhouse panel to diffuse it some, so its not so much of a laser effect on the leaf.

You can get cheap tents. For under 50 bucks. 2x2x5. As long as you keep it in a room by itself and you can turn the lights out. If there's no light on in the room with the tent. There won't be amy light leaks.
