hi growers. google sucks for looking up information easily so i thought id come ask on here.
so i am growing under led lights. cheap ones at the so dont hate on me too much. my question is apparently hanging my lights at 12 inches i get 1200 par and lower at 6 inches 2800 ish par . i can have my lights at 6 inches with out any heat problems but is it worth it. can or does a plant even need so much par. image is of week 3 flower would yous say lower lights more or bring them up. leds are viparspectra spectrum 600w real wats 270w

It works for me. If you google how much par is too much, you will get some results.

The parameters that determine how much light is too much are not specific to what kind of light, just light in general.

they cost more then my lights. id love to buy one but if i had that extra money id buy better lights haha. i was more interested in knowing if i am wasting light by putting them so close and reducing the coverage aria

The reason I asked is because you had the par listed. Must be from the makers of the light. Most times those number are bs. I have a par meter the one I have cost 180 ish when I bought it.

Most burplelight companies do. Why I started building my own, now looking to build up QB light.

Veg = 10 par watts/ft2
Flower= 20 par watt/ft2
CO2 = 30 par watts/ft2
:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::eyesmoke:
Besides avg is 50 watts per square foot for a grow space, not to mention I’m pretty positive you don’t know the actual par output for any led and the given chips usedor for any light for that matter. I can tell you for a fact that even chip for chip of my citizen 1818’s are exactly the same.

is there anything like this but with par reading
Veg = 10 par watts/ft2
Flower= 20 par watt/ft2
CO2 = 30 par watts/ft2

like eg veg needs 400 min par per foot and flower like 600 min or xxxx max

Are you asking for comparable ranges expressed in umoles/m2?
