So I got this at a bargain and was curious.
If I wanted to keep the drivers, what kind of cob chips could I use to upgrade?

I'll look at em, thanks man.
Any idea what kind of cob are on there? I didn't see any lettering or stamp.
I'm going to try a small grow with it just for curiosity sake.
Wish I had a meter for output, it feels pretty warm from a distance, and despite the pics it's not purple it's very red!

Check out CLU038 chips from citizen, probably the best form factor for those

The drivers say 1200 but I bet it's less, still
That CLU038 has a max amp rating of 1.38 so even if the driver was putting out say 900 ma that'd be in the 70% range.
Sorry if that's not right I'm kinda lit.
It's pretty cheap too decent spectrum hmmmm. Could this turn out to be a decent light?

I'm going to run a single hso chemdawg soil/supersoil in a 15 gal airpot.
With the stock cobs.
If they suck to bad I'll swap with citizen.

So I was cheap and went with vero 18 in 3000k buuuut. Wow I mean wow!
We're having issues with photos but when that's up again, I have one pic with just two changed out and the difference was clear. I left it on for an hour and then opened it up and those two veros were cool as cucumbers while the stock chips were hot to touch. So u swapped them all out and got some pics.
I only have a lux meter that goes up to x100 and the old cobs got 32 to 35 x100
These veros at 12 inches rated 85 in some spots and 60 under fan leaves.
This is a kick ass light.
Lux isn't what I should be using but as you can see I'm frugal.
160 bucks total BOOOM! IT IS GOOOOD

I think this type of thing is the way to go right now, its cheaper than sourcing heatsinks and drivers, etc. Plus, you can daisy chain most models. Nice job @morgwar. be sure to show us the progress as she comes along

So I'm gonna run my chemdawgs and blue dream with this untill the chems are breeding age and put them in the breeders bucket. Then the blue dream will have it all to its self.
I wanna thank shadow_moose and nogod_
