I'm from WA state, but I love Oregon, 93 octane gas, you never have to pump it yourself. nice cool weather. cannabis friendly.

Portland is crazy though, I never seen such tall over passes.

I'm glad to see "another Oregon grow". We've had such a hot/cold May, I can't imagine what this summer will be like. It'll be nice to see how other's are doing and see which strains are doing well out here. Just to confirm, @slow drawl , are you on the wet side or the dry side of the state?

Looks like you're doing some in pots, maybe some in a raised bed?

Yeah crazy weather, got a good jump on things this year. Started most of my seeds March 1 and everything is doing well. I have a hard framed GH with 4 100 gal pots...my sativa dominates. I'll plant 4 or 5 others out in my raised beds. Been running the swamp cooler quite a bit on all of these 80 degree days.
I'm in Forest Grove and always searching for strains that will finish before our dreaded fucking humidity hits. Especially anything sativa dominate, which is why I built my GH. I have high hopes for the Banghi Haze, we shall see.
Looks like most Oregon growers are rockin it pretty good already.

I agree, looks like everyone is off to a good start. My patient/wife prefers Sativa dominant hybrids, but like yourself I'm after short flower times for the outdoor grow. I'm at the top of the hill, in the "Gateway to the Gorge", facing the wind machine. Trying to finish an outdoor here is kind of nuts, which is why mine are all low to the ground and in pots that in a worst case scenario I can drag into the garage and finish under lights.

I'm growing some LSD from seeds, those are supposed to be mold resistant and early finishers... but they are Indica dominant. I'm also trying a Jillybean (from a clone), at least indoors they are supposed to finish in 56 days. Sativas and long finishers (Sour Diesel, Jack Herer, etc.) I'll only grow indoors.

I had 2 large plants last year in my raised beds, got caught in one of the sept. storms and thrashed the fuck out of them. I could imagine how brutal it is where your at. I went out and bought a 10 x 10 Portable GH and covered them after that. Finished those up the last of Oct.Sweet Afghani (2).JPGSweet Afghani.
I don't really have the set up for an indoor, hence the GH. It is imperative to have a covering of some sort for here in the fall.

I use the same type of covering and like it myself,It took me a minute to balance the air to avoid heat stratification.Home depo sells retractable screen doors for those hot a humid days that a swamp cooler doesn't work.I had to change the pads on the cooler twice last year 20160516_100446.jpg 20160516_095203.jpg 20160516_095203.jpg 20160516_095203.jpg 20160516_100446.jpg 20160516_095203.jpg 20160516_100446.jpg

Been a week or so since I took any pics for updates busy busy...lots of good shit going on in the spring here, (springer season on the Columbia, clamming at the coast, surf perch, morels when I can find them. I Love Oregon.
Still waiting for my Bangi Haze cuttings to show sex, the plants need to be transplanted badly. I need to get 2 of them in my raised beds.
Six of them in the background here.
I might have a few extra Bangi Haze for any of you Oregon growers close by. I only need 1 male and 2 females.

One of them is going in the middle here, hoping it can reach it's full potential. The GDP that was here grew balls._DSC0057.JPG

The other is going in here with the Pineapple Chunk.
