Another side by side....by side HPS VS DE HPS VS COB LED

Is this your first grow bro?
Nope not at all, grew a few with a DE HPS in a 5x5 before this, I know you might not see what I'm saying. But I can demonstrate in a video to better explain. The "penetration" is a thing with stretch strains, but you don't want that with a Scrog. Again the high amount of red is what's making the plant stretch that much, same strain on the LED side with maybe a few colas stretching 6". Leaving a much tighter canopy and more light making it to the canopy.

The results of a good canopy are already showing themselves with the buds much earlier than I expected. Looks like the LED is a week ahead and might get further ahead.

I'll do some measurements and a higher quality video later, seeing as I was a video produced for 5 years I really should improve the quality of the content lol.

I'll go in detail with 6" deep into the canopy to demonstrate my point.

first pic appears to have a bug problem which will effect yields alot.take a look bro before its a major prob in your rooms.
I tell you that unnoticed mites can have you chasing loads of other problems that do not exist. Your plants can get sick fast. It is almost like the plants know the mites are on them.

It's the small specks of white which is where they have bitten plants. But most stay under the leaves so you can't see them. SNS will save the day it just needs time.
SNS 217 is basically Rosemary oil extract. It is on the bottle. I used it in watering for mites and was not that impressed. Maybe better as a foliar spray. 10 ML of Silica per gallon of water as a foliar spray in veg is good to toughen up the plant.

I'm using a sastenic with a foliar spray, it should work well makes the notes not want to eat and starve while I rain death down from above. Should work well enough till I bleach the shit out of the room after

Yep same room at 83F, don't have canopy temps but I could get out the good old the Temp gun and check. It's not super hot if that's what you're thinking?
Just wondering how much weight can be given to the side by side, if the plants all had different rooms I wouldn't give it much credit. Since they are all in the same room I find your results very interesting, any problems you are having are manifesting on the cobs last.

I'm so glad I went with cobs, it was not an easy choice. Dehps and cmh had both been under very serious consideration.

I'd still like some canopy temperatures if you don't mind, to rule out any extremes under the Dehps.

Based on the chart im running my veg and flower in the 25 zone lol.more frost, less larf.like i said unless that is a new canna specific chart it was designed for greenhouses and leafy vegetables. We dont really want our leaves so blown up they shade the important things. But to each their own i guess.78f and 70%rh is a perfect beeeding grounds for mold/fungus and mites.

Something to understand about your theory of penetration is plant energy transfer. Like I said. I've grown pounds under the canopy. Huge dense buds under fully shaded leaves. To further that along, the smallest amount of side-lighting just eliminating shading helps w/ the energy transfer. Weak
Par #'s under leaves does not tell the whole story bro.
There's allot to be said for an even canopy but to say the lights energy from the top does not transfer throughout the plant is wrong from what I've seen many times over.

I'll demonstrate with a quality video, and then when I have the results we can see if the number corolate.

How's it going? If you're looking for a good way to rid mites, my go-to is Quantum Apocalypse. Won't hurt your new buds in the least or clog stomata. Works wonders. Good luck ridding them buggers.

what it needs besides that is for you to buy some gear yourself and diy instead of whining in every thread..

it wascute first couple times

[on ignore]
Bro - I have gear including some HPS SE and DE (microwave) lights. I want to see if QB Boards can do the business in flower before I buy quite a few of them.

At least I am not suggesting products that are not even sold under the same name anymore. Quantum Apoc is now called Mites and Mildew Washout.

Looks like it is Neem oil with a soap added like a little bit of Bronners and a little silica.

Might get around 900W of quantum boards in the future to see how they run with lens. It's a bit exspencive but if they drop the price a bit then I'll jump on it.
