AN's Micro/Grow/Bloom pH perfect in flower

I usually grow in organic soil, but every once in a while I will try out a starter pack of nutrients just to practice different methods. I found AN's pH perfect claim to be intriguing and so I fully flowered out a cut of Forum GSC. I used the manufacturer's instructions and fed with a 1:1:1 ratio thru both flower and veg. The nuggs came out REALLY small and dense. I've grown many of this same cut in my organic soil and my yield has been way above what I got out of this plant. What I will say is that the nuggs are completely covered in trichs, but that's not enough to justify the yield. The plant also had noticeably strong and thick stems. Does anyone else have experience with this line? Do you use a different ratio in flower than 1:1:1? Too much nitrogen perhaps?

I used this line my last grow after a switch to coco. I usually do organic also and pull 4 to 5 o from a 5 gal. Using this line and coco my yield went up to 6.5 on a 5 gallon 8 on a 10 gallon and a very special sour diesel #2 from hso yielding my a lil over 13 os in a 10 gal pot. Can't say it's all because of the nutrients as I Did veg out my biggest plants that run. I also get big main stems and thick branches but solid dense sticky buds. Did you use all 3 during flower. Ph? Ppm? Veg time? Type of lights?

I've been using AN for 16 years but switched from 1-1-1 long ago. Use that at first then go with 3-3-1 once vegging hard then 1-1-1 again with some Big Bud just a few days before flipping to flower and until the 2 -3 week mark then no Grow and use Lucas formulation at 0-1-2 + BB until week 5 or 6 then with a real 8 week strain you can feed water until the end. Those numbers are all ratios and you know how to work with that right?

Dropping the Grow after the stretch seems to work betetr but I did get some burn on a few plants so may have to lower my feed rates a bit more. I get a bit pushy with the nutes sometimes and do way better with DWC.

Some OverDrive can be used week 6 and 7 but I haven't seen any noticeable improvement with it so I wouldn't worry about that. I tried the Bud Ignitor on one of 5 identical clones this last grow and saw nothing better with it so won't buy that any more. Want to try the Bud Factor X as it's supposed to be the bomb. Most of their other supplements are just for those that have to have it all and money to burn so I don't bother with them. Their nute chart is total crap so I never refer to it at all. Every week from the start you are supposed to use the full dose of 4ml/L then when you add other supplements into the mix you are for sure going to burn the crap out of your plants. With DWC I only do one change right after the stretch so I'm not flushing perfectly good nutes down the drain every week.

An has just come out with certified organic nutes that are made for hydro or soil/soilless. Big Bud, Iguana Juice Grow and Bloom, Bud Candy and Ancient Earth Humic acids. I want to get the nutes, BB and maybe the humics to try in DWC. Might get the Bud Candy for growing some in ProMix HP which is also certified organic. I also use low doses of Rhino Skin from the seedling stage tho they say to wait until flowering. Plants like it and the stems are strong so I'll do it my way. :)

I use nothing but RO water too so I don't get mineral buildup that throws everything off and leads to toxic salts buildup. Do it right and never have to flush or worry about getting a bunch of runoff all the time.

My buds came out smaller than usual this last time too but I was growing new strains in 4gal/16L pots and some of my old faves in a SoG type thing with multiple plants in the same 2.5ga/10L pot x 8 flowered at about 7" tall and never topped. They actually had the same kind of colas as before just smaller. Going back to DWC ScroGs for way better yields.

Love the pH Perfect and never check in DWC or pots.

I actually used the Lucas formula this last grow lol. I was making the switch from organic soil into coco and figured understanding the ratios would prove handy if I go hydro. I mix mine at half strength and you are correct full strength is a no go. Doing it pretty much the same way as you. If I Jane a sativa that stretches I leave the grow in flower mix until week 2 otherwise it's out by 393rd day of flower. However I do not hesitate to take Them up to 1200ppm or higher in veg they like it lol. I maintain a reservoir from which I water/feed mine with run through a pump out a hose with a sprayer.

As far as an line-up goes iv used the grow micro bloom big bud and bud candy. I agree with you on their nute line as to which are useful. I will say I think you'll like bud candy in organic. I like it. I also got b52 to try out, like you said I had the money lol.

As far as your yield is concerned I think you'll find your answer in your last paragraph. 2 plants in 1 pot will lower your yield as well as growing a new strain you havnt dialed in yet. Just my 2 cent. Plus growing scrogs and bushes can make us wonder why did smaller plants and harvest to begin with.

My SoG thing was just a quick way to get some plants going with the larger ones. All the plants for that were grown from the 76 seeds I sprouted in a big seedling tray of promix. Ended up with 23 plants in 8 pots after culling runts and males. They were not long past the seedling stage when they got flipped to flower so I wasn't expecting lots and I wasn't disappointed. The larger plants were from clones a buddy gave me. 5 OG#18 and a sad Purple Kush all from ten year old mothers. All the OG threw 'nanners and the PK didn't do much at all. The little SoG filled the gap at least and I got 4 strains to put on the menu. I got a clone off the OG and will try growing it in DWC and see how it does. Didn't make any seeds so the 'nanners must be shooting blanks like me and it grows just right for a ScroG but has a 10-11 week flower. I'll try the Bud Factor X on it when I get it and see how it does maybe but might be busy growing other, faster strains to fill the coffers faster.

I've run up to 1500 with some kush but the sativas like it around 1000 and I have to take into account my chronically low RH so will be aiming lower to prevent burn. Using Lucas after the stretch seems to work well in soilless so hopefully get the same results in DWC.
