Ants!!!

Have ants living in my Tangerine Dream plant and possibly the three others. They came in with the soil or coco when I repotted recently. The TD for sure because I saw ants running up and down the stem near soil level then disappearing under the soil. Does not seem to be harming any of my plants that I can see though.

Should I be doing something? They are very small and totally non threatening otherwise.

The ants are nesting in the soil which is not good for your root system. You could possibly have aphids these tiny bugs eat the sap from your plant and produce honeydew and the ants will take the aphids hostage and kill any predators they might have. Its pretty interesting actually.

Here is a page I have bookmarked on bugs - http://medicalmarijuana.com/experts/expert/title.cfm?artID=808

Here is another very good article and cures for it - http://www.cannabisculture.com/v2/articles/2567.html

Good luck friend. Your plant looks nice. Reps to u!
