IMHO, id say stay conservative. Pretty shitty thing to say but its a battle where our feet are already wet. Any major changes could put us 10years behind if the party has a "swing-opinion" like we discovered tredeau has.

I'm beyond confused by this statement. The conservative approach is to maintain the war on drugs and every other party wants to end the prohibition of cannabis in one form or another.

How could anyone stick with conservatives on the marijuana issue. They continue to demonize medical users.

Trudeaus plan makes no sense yet it's still better than more reefer madness from the conservatives IMO.

People need to stop going to jail for this plant. That's not going to happen under the conservatives.

Put it this way, if the liberals or NDP make a program we arent happy with were back tracking 2+years and more time in the future. Atleast this government will be directed by the courts but who knows...just really being non-biased and playing devils advocate.

It does but a different party might have there own views. Remember the court just gives it back to HC to format. Whoever does decide homegrows id look at heavily but marijuana is only in the top 5 issues for me. Il do what i want regardless.

Anyway you look at it conservatives are gone Harper knows it people are just not happy as for MJ movement i would pretty much guess all other parties are using it to get votes , but its not there number 1 priority think about about how many of the population actually smokes weed about 2.3 million whats the population of Canada may be 36,000,000 whats that percentage wise ??? not very promising there fore parties that want in are going to say they will make it legal
we must not rely on false hope ... How many times has the parties elected actually delivered on there promises es

your right it's all about vote...problem is once there elected there is nothing forcing them to do what they said they would. More likely to listen to the people who donated to there compagn like big pharmaceutical companies.

I don't think it much matters which party gets in, as long as it isn't the CONs when it comes to mmj. Both the Libs and NDP are going to loosen the recreational laws in one way or another, but mmj is a whole 'nother animal'. We will need to win our rights in the SCoC regardless of government. Even if they allow rec grows with say 6 plants for personal, that won't work for patients. A health minister with an ounce of intelligence would allow both options...grow your own/dg or buy from an LP. I have a feeling that the courts will eventually, maybe, someday order HC to come up with that option. Too fucking easy.

Reading this forum is so entertaining. "a different party might have there own views." is absolute gold. Really? What a novel concept. Your apathy kills me bigmanc. (To say nothing of your grammar) The only reason the cons are making any progress is because the courts/people are forcing them to. Grow a pair dude, or just don't vote.

To the op, no. None have said so yet. I think the Ndp are the friendliest to our cause out of the bunch. I don't see them funding the hc fight with us any longer. Win by default is still a win IMO.
