Any One Use CocoGrow Coir?

I recently got rid of my Hydrohut (since the chemicals it gave off killed my plants) and the only alternative on the market is Metric and has a square floorplan. I was looking at the CocoGrow BOSS Bocks as a way of utilizing space more efficiently. I'm more of a soil guy, but growing in the CocoCoir SEEMS like a pretty easy thing to do.

Anyone have experience with these or growing in Coco in general? I was thinking of using Nature's Nectar organic nutrients and simply hand-watering them.

Thanks for he help guys! Here is a link to the product:

Good article on coir as growing medium in the current Skunk magazine(vol 4 issue 1). Good luck with it.

Well I know from previous threads that using %100 cococoir usually leads to a soggy medium but these expandable grow-bags have a course mat of coir at the bottom to give better drainage and wick water out the bottom of the pots. My local hydro store recently started carrying them but since they JUST got them in, they don't know how they will perform.
Anyone use %100 coir with a drainage layer?

A drainage layer is not necessary. Gravity work just fine thank you. There are two reasons I like the coco-coir better than rockwool, it retains less water than rockwool and it make dandy compost for my outdoor plants around the house. THe negative with coco is fungus gnats, they love it, so maintanace for pest control is necessary. I have been experimenting with putting a little rockwool on top of the coco and that seems to work. That stuff is mad messy. I've got a ton of it sitting in my grow room... probably should clean it sometime.
