I live in southern california so the air here is not very humid at all. I was wondering if all you experienced growers around here would help me out and tell me about how long it takes to hang dry your buds.

some big buds (bigger than fist)
and some small (size of lighter)

Some people say like 10 days I can only hang mine for like 2 days max then they go into jars. I live in the desert so it may be a little different depending what part of cali your in. I hung out some ultra haze 2 for 2 days and it got too dry and ruined my harvest. I let the same plant hang for 1 day and about a half another and put them in jars, the nugs seem to be doing way better. Im going to say about 2 days max with big nugs and for the smaller ones let the dry all day and then go straight to jars.

ok cool thanks man. seems a little short from what I have been hearing but I guess the dry climate effects it a lot
here are a couple pics of the size nuggets we are talking about maybe that will help to.
its about 65 degrees in the drying room and about 50-45% humidity, per local weather forcast

Browntown this is just a guideline, now you can let everything just layout and dry accordingly but because the small buds are so small they usually dry too fast, especially in the desert thats why I like to let them only dry for the day and then go into jars. The bigger nugs will usually feel dry on the outside but nice and spungy on the inside before they go into jars. Its kinda hard to tell you exaclty what your doing but this, I find is, the part where experience comes in. You can grow a plant perfect and if you mess up dry/cure that5s it. Look at the STICKY HARVEST thread at the top of Harvesting and curing.

just want to give you a little tip, next time keep the buds on the stems. This will increase your drying time, just cut the plant at the base and cut off the largest fan leaves(which you can also leave since they also contain moisture). Since the stem contains moisture. I could go a little further with benefits of leaving the stem and leaves but im going to sleep. its 1 am here in lovely amsterdam!Im thinking this should help you! keeep it growing -syze-

Wait until they fill dry on the outside, then put them in a paper bag......Or you can leave them hanging until the stem snaps ,when you bend it...Then you can put them in the jar....

Yeah the stems snapping In my case is way too dry. The stems with a little bending going on thats about rite time for jars.
