I bought 2 packs of seeds. A 5 pack of Deep Purple and a 5 pack of Grape Inferno.

4 out of 5 Deep purples germinated - all males - 1 mutant plant.

1 out 5 Grape Inferno seeds germinated after 1 week germination.

To all of you who are about to blame my germination method, 4 other seeds germinated in 2-3 days and are already growing well. This is not my first rodeo that's for sure.

I think this may be the end of my TGA experience. I was really looking to get that nice grape taste from the TGA beans but oh well.

End rant.

Sorry about your loss.

I suspect some poor germination issues are due to older seeds being stocked and re-sold. I have no idea if that was the issue in your case, but seed germination percentages tend to trend downward as seeds age and some suppliers are better at rotating stock than others. I think how the seeds are stored can affect their viability too.

A friend loves TGA and recently had good germination with 9lb hammer, but poor germination with Brian Berry Cough. I think the seeds came from different seed suppliers. He's not a rookie, so I doubt the Brian Berry low germ. rate was caused by him.

He's popped lots of other TGA stuff, Agent Orange , 3D, Locomotion etc and always seemed to have good results / high germination rate.

1 out of the 5 seeds is growing like crap. a small tiny seedling, took a few days and the cotyledon finally parted...seems like bad genetics eps running side by side with other strains. I feel like anything with querkle is gamble at this point. I put a scotts og seed the dirt 24hr ago and it's already cracking open..24hr!

left to right: TGA Grape Inferno (1 of 5 seeds that germinated) , TGA Qush , TGA Qush ( 2 of 2) , White Label Seeds Afghan Kush (1 of 1). All started Jan 4th. I just started another 2 beans that cracked in 24hr! Stupid me bought another pack of GIF yesterday and started 1 seed. Lets see how this new GIF seed does...@ $15 a seed I'm hoping for the best.

I just tried to pop a pack of chernobyl, 3 popped up, 1 was super runty and died about 2 days after popping, so down to just 2 now, hopefully they turn out to be female cause they are regular seeds. It happens tho i totaly don't blame the breeder, i held onto them for at least 6 months to a year before popping and who knows how long they sat. I bet TGA subcool got some great seeds when they are more fresh i grew their querkle from clone and it was fire.

I think the biggest question is where are you buying seeds from? You can get 5 packs of TGA gear for $50-$55 each at James Bean Co.
