Anyone else having trouble germinating Jesus OG?

I tried to remedy the problem with attitude/TGA before I made it public... I had a pack of Jesus that I bought last april, and I had a 1of10 germination rate... I use FoxFarm light warrior soil that I wet before I put in cups. I had problems with seeds sinking before when I used the soil dry. Then, I would place the seed in the cup without soaking the seed. Just straight into the light warrior, no surgery with tap roots! I have over-simplified my method and I have had great results...
Why would I have trouble with a whole pack of Jesus and a 1/2 pack of vortex? I had 10of10 with jilly bean and 20of20 for space candy??? OLD stock maybe? Jesus and vortex might have been sitting on the shelf for a while??? I tried to contact both Attitude and TGA. Tga would not respond! Here is what Attitude had to say!

We sell our seeds for souvenir purposes only and for storage in-case the laws change. We at ‘The Attitude’ are here to help, but we have our restrictions. We cannot, and will not discuss germination/yields/THC levels (etc.) of seeds, as it is ILLEGAL to germinate seeds in the United Kingdom and most countries and we cannot be seen to be promoting this. Unfortunately, E-mails may be ignored and remain unanswered if questions relate to the above and you may be refused a sale should you persist in requesting further information.

I really wanted to be a subcool fan!!!

I am just sharing my experience and frustration. I dont expect anyone to send me replacements, I didnt expect it when I sent e-mails. I just gets to me when I can be ignored like this! At least Attitude sent me a message that said sorry.

try rapid rooters next time.... my jillybean and 9 pound and vortex all popped that way no problems

Its funny! What is wrong with light warrior? Subcool doesn't use it anymore? He used to... How do I know, I watched 120 episodes of weednerd!
So, it is my germination methods and it could not possibly be an old batch of seeds that has been sitting at Attitude for the last 3yrs or whatever!
I am fucked because I dont put my seeds in root cubes like subcool! I do not have access to clones. Therefore, everything in my garden has come from seeds for the last 4yrs. Why do you think that I had to wait 7mos to pop my seeds? Because I have a shit ton of seeds and it takes a while to go through a rotation. I cleared space for some B.S seeds is what I did. I would expect it from Jesus but not Vortex... That is why I really think that they are old... My first pack of vortex was 10for10 and I loved it enough to buy another pack!
This has inspired me to save my seed money and take a trip to denver for clones! Fuck the seed game!

If I remember right, Subcool switched to root cubes because they were EASY... Remember when his supersoil mix was ALL FoxFarm soil??? It was like 4:1 FFoF to light warrior and he used the light warrior in red solo cups to start seeds... I know, seeds do not like to germinate in soil! Damn it, I am fucked!!!

You only had 2 seed packs? How long have you been doing this???Wait, it was 3. I had trouble because you didnt use commas.
Dont act like this was my first seed pack is what I am saying!

My point is, dont buy shit that does not fly off of the shelf because it could be old. Or possibly, it was promo time and Attitude WAS rotating stock and gave me some old shit.

I understand your frustration, but Jesus OG is too new of a strain to not be viable. It hasn't been available long enough. Maybe 2ish years. So the old stock theory isn't it.

I'm not claiming I know what happened, but I've popped many tga seeds and am quite successful.

I do think your being a little irrational/ranting and putting most if not all the blame on tga bc he/they didn't respond back.


Subcool is a busy busy man. I'm sure sometimes he skips over some of the 50 emails a day that he gets just like yours.

And sometimes I bet it is people trying to scam free seeds.

He can't just give out a free replacement every time someone's beans don't germ.

I can see both sides.

At the end of the day theres a lot of possibilities to why germ rates were bad, but nobody can say for certain.

You're making excuses for subcool. From what I understand OP has bought *many* packs of TGA gear. This is a good customer, and subcool is charging a lot for these packs. I'd say that at least warrants a response to his email.

If subcool is too busy to bother with his customers then that's a real shame

I bet Attitude sent some bunk seeds. I don't trust those seed banks. I've heard too many horror stories about attitude. Also I'm surprised they made it through customs as well. Being that they're from Attitude. I've gotten a bunch of tga. All the seeds sprout except for a few testers strains that were never released. I also picked them up directly from the tga booth at the cannabis cup, chalice, hempcon , etc...

I soak my seeds in a cup of water til they sprout. 2-3 days. after 1 day swirl the water to see if they sink. if they do that's usually a sign of a good seed. then place in rapid rooter in a party cup of soil or directly in soil. Place a bag or clear cup as a dome over it until the sprout drops its helmet ? shell. Then I remove the dome,. The dome / cup / bag helps hold moisture in so it doesn't dry out. I don't do it for the humidity.

You are better off building a soil instead of using bagged soil and the npk redundant super soil

You have a right to your opinion. To each their own.

I'm just saying from my experience with tga seeds (which i have ran quite a few) I have never ran into a problem with them being viable.

Jesus Og is a strain that's about 2ish years old. It is a popular strain. I personally ran that strain and documented the entire grow.

People always get salty and are quick to blame a breeder. I always try to look at things from both sides.

Is every seed company expected to give out free extra packs if your seeds don't germ?

I don't necessarily disagree with you. This could have been a mistake that mustang made. It could have been a bad batch of seeds. There's no way for either of us to know that for certain.

My problem lays with the lack of response from TGA. It's bad form to just blow someone off IMO. Without loyal customers there would be no TGA.

I was fast to bitch about TGA. After thinking about it for a couple of months and finishing the packs that I have, I decided that I might buy more seed packs but only stay with his original line up.

So, I was bitching about 1for10 Jesus OG germinated. Well, it turned out to be a decent female. I have been more butt-hurt about other seed companies. The fact that I will clone off of my Jesus og made me happy. I am not trying to be difficult you know!
I was also complaining about vortex. I had 6for10 germ. I ended up with 4 females... I may have ended up with a couple of A-13 dom.
My conclusion... I still want to try too many of TGA's strains to stay mad!!! I just had to grow out what I had.

My opinion.... Try Bodhi. You can pick his seeds up from a couple USA based seed banks, so no pissing around with customs. You can get 3 packs of his seeds for $140, the genetics really kick ass, and Bodhi is a great guy that would 100% hook you up with a replacement pack if you had this kind of issue.

I have grown several packs from both TGA and Bodhi. I will likely grow more TGA in the future, but subcool keeps jacking his prices up and obviously can't be bothered to respond to or help out a loyal customer that has spent thousands of dollars on his gear.

I guess that I am saying that TGA is not on my black list anymore, but I will not buy more than one pack at a time...
I usually try multiple packs to get a feel for the breeder. I am looking at Bhodi, GGG, and RareD. It will be a while until I try JTR. I should have got JTR instead of Jesus. I was doing a run of OG crosses and I was also buying TGA at the time, I had to try it and compare it to the others.

Great Lakes Genetics carries tons of Bodhi crosses, and lots of newer stuff that you won't find at the UK seed banks. Seed Vault of California also carries a bunch of Bodhi stuff. There are threads on both of these seed banks in the seed and strain review section

i get good germ rates in soil . UNLESS the soil was stored outside and got really wet and fungus gnats got in it ! GASP!
ate the tap roots right off some and fucked my germ rates.... never again with roots soil opened a bag last week and gnats FLEW OUT boobooo. but it happens to everyone once suck it up and move on
