Seen it but also seen some growers here who have had less than good conditions for their fish or water dwelling creatures.

Id advise those that want to run this kind of systems to firstly be good growers and secondly be proficient at keeping live animals in perfect health.

These two combined make it one of the hardest grow systems to run and manage and if i see less than perfect conditions i will shoot them down for cruelty to animals.

Is it really worth the hassle for a load of weed, probably easier ways to get high :-)

I know its out there and it makes perfect sence that it would work. Just wondering if anyone here is trying
I’ve seen a local guy who has a pond probably 5 acres that pumped his pond water through his green house in a sort of cool rdwc setup. It was pretty cool.

I used the Filter tray at the Bottom of the tank, has a Catcher for all the Crap from the tank,Then that was feed for the plants ,They did really well ,But I got Bored with the fish tank,But the water from the tank the Plants Love it,I even Once Made a Top for my tank with 3 holes cut in with Plants Been direct in the tank,Growing with Clay balls has medium ,That also worked fine,But was more of a Conversation piece than any thing that would produce large yields ,The fish Loved the Cover from the roots ,The fish provide the roots with Nutrients from the crap,I suppose done right ,that method would produce good end results with more care than i gave them,It was carp i had in the Tanks,You do need extra air stones in the tank though ,because any plant in the tank will put Oxygen out during the lights on,But they Pull it out of the water at night ,so add a extra air stone so they are getting plenty of air.Aquaponics was one of the very first things i tried when growing that and NFT.Anc ,i keeped both for a good while and it did just fine, and the fish was happy in the tank,They really Looked after there selfs the plants has long has you keep the fish happy,I used a piece of Corri Board at the back of the tank so the roots was never in direct light,But the roots still got a bit of light on them ,and they still did ok i think the most i got from growing like that was around 2 oz per plant,I'm pretty sure the Plants was Basil Kush Autos ,
