hello everyone, as the outdoor cycle for me finishes up i am putting together next years out door esentials. can anyone tell me if they have any experience with the "Jack Herer" strain and or any tips or tricks for this strain. i am experienced in both indoor and outdoor grows but i am always looking to further my knowledge. this strain was very hard to come by and was very expensive as far as seed prices go, so if anyone has any tidbits of info i would gladly be your humble listener.

Sannies Seeds has a f7 or f8 Jack. Huge yielder. 10 seeds for about 40 or 50 dollars I think and you get a pack of 5 freebies.

I have been running Sensi Seeds Jack Herer for a little over a year. I bought a 10 pack of seeds, but only popped 4 and keep the best plant. I will probably pop the other 6 seeds soon.

Flower time is about 12 weeks. I am not a fan of that.

I like the smell/flavor.

It is a big producer, but the buds are not very dense. It is also a hassle to manicure.

I was able to pull 3/4 of a pound off one plant grown in a 1 gallon container.

jubilee, that's one hellova plant and tasty looking buds! so much for small pots equal small yield.

I got a free Critical Jack Herrer feminized seed from Delicious. It was a great plant, not too tall or stretchy and easy to shape into a bush. I was growing some Haze at the same time and Jack was a lot easier, fewer problems in terms of nutrient damage or crap like that. And it was super-easy to clone. Unfortunately, spider mites got into my closet and messed everything up, or I'd probably still be growing it. But the yield was good for such a small plant and the high was pretty cool. I'd definitely consider growing it again. Delicious also sent me a Black Russian seed, and that plant turned out pretty well also.

jujubee, thanks for the input. the seeds i got were from http://www.herbiesheadshop.com/sensi-jack-herer-seeds-483 and were quite expensive. there are so many diffrent types and this one is the one i went for. think i got ripped off? i have popped 5 of the 10 seeds and all came up. i will be sexing all my new stuff in 5-10 days. it says 50-70 days flowering time. are we talking about two different strains?

I think I am growing the same stuff.

I paid about the same price for the seeds.

Out of the four seeds I have grown so far, I had two females. Both took at least 10 weeks, but benefited from the extra two weeks. I picked the best female out of those two. So my experience is mostly with one plant. I need to pop the rest of the seeds to see what else I have.

It is tall, and stretches a lot after you put it into flower. It is always the last plant to finish for me.

I bred it with deep chunk, and the three female plants I grew out all took about 8 weeks in flower.

Im going to be running a knock off JH from black skull seeds. Supposedly they used the original from sensi, and worked with the quickest flowering pheno they found, 8wks. So...We'll see if buying lower priced seeds bites me in the ass...

Purchased a jack f1 strain from spliff seeds last season.lost most of the clones I made due to hydroponic cloner heating up twenty to be exact put mother outdoors was the first to show signs of bud rot lost plant to molds not a good plant outdoors in maine unless green housed.besides that was a beutiful plant tall long fat colas stretches like hell in flower definitely an indoor strain someday will buy tga galactic jack version.

Ive grown Sensi and Sannie version. Sensi was 12 weeks to finish, Sannies 10 weeks. Personally I dont like Jack and wont ever run it again. Im not a fan of that woody flavour. If I had to chose I would grow Sannies again. Yield was better with the Sannie version but the taste and high were similar.
