anyone heard about or used an EarthBox?

This thing looks cool. Anyone know anything about it?

i had a similar system last summer for my herbs, thought this would ease my laziness with them a bit, but it didn't worked to well, first they dried to death and then i had root rot you could smell....

I used one with success. Just dont always pour water directly in the res. Pour it on top of the soil, and some in the bottom.
