The Super Grow Light is an Electromagnetic Induction Lamp. But it is not fluorescent lamp.

yes i have heard of them and looked a bit into it, but wasn't convinced. whenever someone wants to sell me a light thats severl times the price of HPS claiming to give efficiency of 1400w using only 400 i need proof... i guess if they worked that good, every grower will already be using them. they have been around for some time. anyway, it will be cool to see someone using them and reporting, at least we will have proof, so if you decide on using them, please make a journal. JMO

Yet again, its another LED conundrum.
While they may be more efficient, and they may have more usable light, and they may have longer life spans....They're just too new and too damn expensive.

I'd say 10 years from now not a single standard MH/HPS light will be on the growing market, LED technology CMH technology and EI will have enough time to become thoroughly tested developed and competition will drive down the price.

Until that time, it's only for those with extremely deep pockets who won't mind kicking themselves in the ass a few months/years down the road when something bigger better more efficient and CHEAPER than what they bought when it was emerging tech comes out.

It's just like buying a computer. You can buy Intels top-of-the-line Core i7 six core extreme CPU for $1100+ and get some crazy performance, or you can wait a year for the next line of processors to come out and buy a $300 chip that's comparable or better than what you would get today.

yea it seems they mite do well but for the price im not gonna take the chance. il stick with my hps for now
 
i got two of these lights im selling, honestly they are great the light is large and actually is around 1m long it does cover a nice amount of space, as i said i have two but i only need the one, my other one is on ebay with a 99pound no reserve auction!

new condition only opened to test, original packaging etc.. and im in the UK so no hassle

I bought a 200w one today...said it would compare to a 1000w Hps...I'm going to try and get 1 gram per watt and see if these lights hold a candle to hps. I think they will do well in veg. and start to struggle in flower. But that's why I'm giving them a try too see. I paid 342 dollars for mine.
 
they are good lights, i went for the 400w models though, not sure if a 200w would match a 1000w hps i think the 400w is more nearer the 1000w hps.

i agree they are pricey but its the technology you are buying and well with the savings on venting the hot air and electric and all other cooling equipment and balasts etc... they work out pretty good :D

I find it hard to believe a 400 watt induction replaces a 1600 watt HID. Post a spectrum analysis from the mfg so we can see UV and IR wavelengths and a link to the mfg website. thanks

Aside from perhaps Kessils, I think the best one can hope for is 20-30% greater equivalent trade. The best LEDs perform maybe 20-30% better than HID watt for watt, none of this 300-400% better crap people claim. I think it would take at least 600w of great LED panels to = a 1000w HID
 
the lights are larger aswell so im guessing the may cover a larger area? my 400w is a metre long with a large glass panel, to be honest the light itself does not seem mega bright to look at and you can look at the actual bulb while its on easily, but i think because it emitts much better usable lumans then this would explain this?

some one has brought both my lights even though i was looking to keep one, but i believe in them so i will be ordering myself another one, being a repeat customer i should get a little discount from the manufacturer :)
 
does not look the same as in design but how he describes sounds like they work the same, a friend of mine uses one and he tells me the plants do have a lovely green colour very healthy.

the company that manufactures these first brang out the models but alot of people assessed that the frequencies of light emitted was wrong for the grow of plants (MJ) and so they fixed the problem and called the new series. the super NEW grow light, its all down to how much coating they give the bulb im not very technical about these lights just giving info i have read elsewhere and obviously info i have gathered in real life as i own 2, well owned 2 now.

i can give you the details of the manufacturer if you require just PM me and i will pass them on, dont want to pass on websites etc and get in trouble for advertising :)

I wouldn't call it advertising. check out every LED mfg who has customers posting their vaious attributes on other forums. Unless you're selling them it's not a problem

I have sold the lights mentioned this journal, they are or were from M-Land, nearly every one I sold failed, and quickly, with ballast problems, the fixture is too sealed and the power supplies failed, the glass filtered the light too much and held heat in. The phosphors may be too thick, output is low.

Induction, by do nature of the magnetic induction, convert more energy into light, less into heat. This is were the energy savings are found, they produce more per watt hour. The real savings is, with a high quality lamp, not changing bulbs for up to 7 years, with little output loss and spectrum slump.

As with all Broad Spectrum lamps, whether HID, Plasma or Induction, there is a drop off in spectrum output above 630nm on the RED end. I recommend addition of 50 watts of DEEP RED LED supplemental lights per 400-1000 Watts of primary lighting, I offer the E-Effect 50 Red Booster (660nm/680nm 50/50) to optimize quality and yields, to take results to the next level.
