I'm thinking I'm going to try my hand at a hempy solo cup if we ever get this thing rolling...

I just put 5 or 6 in cups. I'll probably leave a few in the cups all the way through.

    Okay everyone let's try again.

Start date: Friday, Jan. 13th for seeds
Monday, Jan. 16th for clones(anyone care to chime in on this?)

Roots must remain in Solo Cup.

Any modifications to the cup are acceptable, provided the first rule is followed.

    12/12 start date:
    ??

How about from now until Jan 13? Give a staggered start and will keep the thread alive longer.

Afghani freebies, c99, seedsman white widow, ww x bb, and something else. I will be cutting some clones in the next few days. I may see how a few of them finish in cups.

    Right on!

    Okay:
    I'm in the game.
Just planted one Cannatonic S1 into a 18oz Solo cup.

I placed a layer of pure perlite at the bottom, about an inch thick, with holes right above that level- hempy style.
The remaining cup is filled with 50/25/25 happy frog/perlite/vermiculite.

Thinking an easy QP outta the cup:):):):)

I'm totaly down and only because the inventor of the solo cup just died.

    But I'm confused, lol...

I don't quite get the start dates and the clone/seed thing. I mean, is that when you clip the clone and first soak the seeds?

Also what are the restrictions, etc?

We're all confused my earth loving brother.

I think those dates should be used as the cut off days. Meaning, last day to plant your seed or plant a clone.

I feel like this is quite the leisurely attempt at a Solo cup contest. We don't know what the hell we're doing over here. Lol.

Since some of us started earlier than others I think we'll end up with different flower starting groups.

    Let's formalize this a bit.
Anyone who has a seed or clone that is already in the cup please respond with your planting date.

Those who wish to begin, hold off a minute until we can determine how many interested growers are out there. Still waiting on @thepaintedchef to enter as well.

@AlGore the only restrictions I think we need are that the roots must remain in the cup, and the cup can be no larger than 18oz.
Any other ideas on that front?

    Stay hazed,
    Jake

    I planted on 12/23.
Single entry: Cannatonic S1(home made, bitches :))

    18oz cup. Hempy/soil hybrid.

She is currently up above the dirt, maybe 1 1/2" tall and hasn't lost her helmet yet.

    Hazed!
