Standard breech loaders still fired Minie Balls. Muzzle loaders were extremely rare even at the onset of the Civil War.

That's correct. The Springfield .58 was the most common rifle, but it was still firing a Minie ball though.

crazy to think there were groups of men with winchester repeaters...probably just leveling off battle fields too
