hi,
i'am just trying to grow my first set of babies. but it's quite a challange. I spent last week browsing net trying to find solution for my problem. bottom leaves started to fetting yellow it it's got up to the middle of plant. They have a brown spots on them and they drying up. Sowhere on tips sowhere in middle. But mainly on the tips. i've been putiing enough of nutriens. (biogrow 8-2-6) First I thoght its a nute burn. So I flushed one plant, but it hasn't changed. I just recieved Trace mix, so I'll try to see if it's mg deficit (mangan?). But ifter I just read some gret link I think It's heat stress, mainly because the pictures there were most simmilar to what is happening to my plants. BUT what I would like to find out if the heat stress can happen to bootom rather than top. I also this din't hapen to plants after 4 weeks. before. I must adnit, my growroom is abbot27-32C but its well ventilated and it dosn't feel that hot if you stick a hand there (I am using 400 mh in cool tube. Does anyone has any advice please?

quite a sad picture isn'it?
I don't tthink is owervatering. The pot feels light.
I think the same thing is happening to my plants, lower leaves going yellow, but with more curling and a sandpapery, dry feel. I'm growing white widow in a mylar cab with 400 W HPS, at least 12" clearance. Temps in lower 80's. Hand doesn't get hot under lights but the plants look and feel like they're burning up. two are in hydrofarms and the rest in soil. Gave some GH nutes earlier but freaked out with the curling, dryness and discoloring so I flushed them a couple days ago. Plants are all still growing, but a couple of the bottom fan leaves yellowed with purple stems. I cut them off. My leaves are way curlier than the pictures in this thread too. Gave some fox farm nutes yesterday. Switched to flowering with my two in the AeroGarden though, fingers crossed that they're both female! I think I already see two hairs at the base of a couple nodes!

I know exactly what you're talking about but can't get anyone to reply to my posts. The leaves are curling two different ways. Tips are curling down, sides are curling up. Is it heat? Is it overwatering? Nutrient lock out? Nutrient deficiency? Nute burn? I don't have a clue. I'm trying to monitor it closely, and temps are in the ranges that are recommended on here. Somebody help.

I dont think its heat, because it would be your top leafs burning from the bulb,, I think I no what it is, I looked at the Grow FAQ under plant problems and go to the plants abuse chart it really looks like it might be Magnesium deficiency. check it out :)
matches your pic pretty good with the yellow leafs with brown spots
