heres an experimental hydro nft/ebb&flow setup i tried to recreate... so far so good. my test area ranges from 40-70 deg. half are clones from my warlock mothers half are better boy tomatoes from seed.

Well, you can flood and drain those trays just fine, but where's the nutrient film? Is the flow going to be continuous? In a flood and drain, the nutes must all drain out between flooding. Once those rocks get jammed with roots, the roots can't sit in water, and there won't be anything flowing through the tray. Just something to consider.

yes when i began this setup i wasnt planning on using the hydroton and my pump was pumping a lil too fast so the nft idea went out the window... now i just flood and drain it. altho if the roots still bind up i was thinking of using some pipe or tubing to keep water moving through... i still have no idea what im doing with the plants in the trays, as this was just an experament and my grow room is full for a few more weeks...
