Hey guys! Anyone grow in greenhouses ? Can get a good sized one on amazon for cheap. Seems to me if your growing outside this would be the way to go.can keep your buds dry and control moisture and pests better. Wouldn't have to harden off seedlings started indoors . Anyone have experience?

I did make some custom ones this year. They aren't very hard to make. Check out my thread the big dirty and if this interests you I can give you some tips. This design helps on those really hot days keep the greenhouse at good temps

Temps ,moisture control and bugs is why I'm consider it. Also hides your grow somewhat. Was considering building but the price of one on amazon is cheaper than I could build it for $180 for a 12 by 20' plus I can disassemble it in the fall so the snow doesn't collapse it.

I've been growing in a couple of Amazon bought greenhouses and have had great results! It is crucial that you moderate the Temp and RH in your greenhouse so it is in the appropriate range during your grow. For example if you live somewhere really cold where it snows and such, you will need a space heater in there.

For more details, you can check out the videos I made about my grow and using greenhouses here:

Thanks for the info. Only gonna grow in summer in greenhouses as it's too friggin cold up here . My ol man had greenhouses so I know how to set them up. Doing my 1st indoor grow very soon. Just waiting on my seeds got a 1200w king led in a 4'by5' home made grow tent. Got lots of gardening experience but never done weed. How many plants you think a new grower could handle in there? Best strains you can suggest? Thanks for the info. You got some great grows man!

How many plants do you think you can grow in 12x20?

I was just watching vids on YouTube today on small greenhouses, I'm just looking for something to protect the plants from rainy & overly windy conditions when they pop up from time to time.

Nice lookin' grows! That's some big arsed smartpots! Where you get them that big! Wish I could grow outside in winter but when it's gets down to -30f only a insulated building could keep it warm enough to grow so I'll just do it in my grow tent inside. Gonna start with a doz autos in diff. strains in a 10' by20' and see how that goes.

Amazon has a 10' by 20' one for $179 + free shipping. Can't build one for that unless you had free materials from somewhere . Plus it's portable so you can break it down for the winter so the snow doesn't damage it. Abig plus up here!

I would say you could easily get 4-6 plants going in there and be able to maintain that as a new grower. I did 6 plants my first grow and had no problem.

In terms of a strain to grow, I would ask the person you get your clones or seeds from what they recommend. All strains are different in terms of difficulty so it is hard to say. I do know Girl Scout Cookies are a real bear to grow.
Also auto flowers can be a lot easier to grow for a beginner as they grow so quickly.

Best of luck!

Thanks again! Yeah from what I read it would be better to cut teeth with autos then go to photos from there. I tried to order strains that finished earlier so I had less of a chance screwing up. I think once I figure out how to tweak nutes and get light distances right I should be golden. I'll post my results and issues as they show themselves. I'm pretty confident I can get some good results! Hell its a friggin' weed! Can't be too hard. Peace!

Also I've heard sativa dominant strains tend to be harder to grow. Have you seen that or is it just someone's preference? I know they like it warmer. I'm gonna grow them indoors where I have more control .
