Why don't you flower during the day and turn the lights and fans off during the night ? Then you don't have to hear it running, to quiet a fan you are going to need to build a baffled box.

well that listing doesn't state the dBa rating... so who knows how loud that fan is(I doubt it's quiet though).
You can do alot better than that with $77.

Even the expensive fans are a little loud. You would want to muffle the sound your fan makes, ie; insulated ducting and other methods with teddy-bear stuffing etc.

Buy 120VAC fans! Spending money just to add more work is just dumb to me. You can do better. Those fans are meant to have a positive pressure to start with (like the cheap ass home depot duct fans) You won't be that happy.

i noticed it uses 4.5 amps on a 12volt circuit. you will want to keep that in mind, as most household circuits are only rated for 15 amps. seems like more work to get one of these as opposed to a true axial fan which already has a plug installed and will use less amperage than that model.

Well, they're pretty loud, but once you get them all hooked up to your duct work, it isn't that bad. I feel confident that my neighbors will be none the wiser.

Simple - race cars don't care about quiet!

Ebay'ers - WTF - They will try and sell anything!!! Do you really think that 250cfm is more than the air flow @ 200mph??

Don't know exactly what your setup is, but the Fantech FR100 is a very quiet 100 cfm in-line centrifugal 4" duct type. It kicks butt and is made to run 24/7 on 18 watts so it won't increase your electric bill any more than a cordless phone would. I bought mine on the reccommendation of someone who's been using one in a fresh air duct in their home for 12 years and never turned it off.

I use it in my veg cab. http://www.fantech.net/fr.pdf
