I'd have to dissagree with you on that one. We need to keep the war over there. Can you imagine them over here blowing themselfs up on trains, busses, shopping malls,schools, churches and where ever else ? Hell no!!!!!!! Keep the war over there.Wasn't 9/11/01 enough for you? I think most of you skip over what most people are saying because you have your minds made up and refuse to deal with reality. You say we are prepared if the enemy come over here. Did you just arrive in this country? The enemy has been here probably longer than you have.Heard of sleeper cells? The one thing they have that we don't have is patients and the element of surprise. You call them barbaric. They're leaders were educated over here at the best schools. We supplied them with the technology, weapons and stratigies they use against us. The reason we're still over there is because our government thinks like you. Oh! there just a bunch of push overs. Yeah right. Are we winning over there? But you think we have a better chance of beating them over here. That's just being blind, stupid and thoughtless just like our great president. We should have gone over there strong and finish strong!!! We continue to let our guards down. They waited almost 10 years between attacks in the US. Now we think we're safe. And George B braggs about how we haven't been attacked in 5 years. They are just waiting for us to relax and let our guards down again. The war over there should have been over. which leads me to ask, why do you even see it as an option to jeapoardize not only yourself but your fellow citizens by ignoring the hornet's nest and wishing they would come here to our land? i know a lot of soldiers don't like the situation but they signed up, the vast majority are proud of what they are doing over there. i didn't go to college so i can carry out guerilla attacks on invaders in my country..if they come i promise i will but it's not what i chose..why do you want to invite them here on my behalf? especially since they aren't going to fight the fighters, they just kill the innocents.

you cite the patriot act as a liberty stealing tool. i agree, on the surface this is a very scary tool as i am a hard-core advocate of privacy.. the flip side though, i'm glad our government has put it on the table... they could do this without us knowing and it wouldn't even come to light until after this administration was back at the ranch in private life. it's not an executive power grab, it's a beaurocratic pruning mechanism..that's why the house and senate have to vote on it everytime it expires and that's why it can never not-expire...

i just don't understand the direction you have indicated in your posts. what is your solution to the problem, or are you saying it really isn't a problem and you would take a few thousand casualties inflicted on ordinary citizens once in a while?

i don't know chief, you said you're all about "your" truth and i think that's the prob right there.. i mean, there are some things that are subjective but the truth isn't one of them. we have a group of individuals determined to kill us, that's the truth! if you don't pray at their rock everyday, read their book, eat their foods, etc. then you are not worthy of being alive. the extremists believe that it is their mandate from alah to cleanse the earth and spread their beliefs "by the sword".

blaming the USA doesn't really solve anything... i mean, we've bought their oil for decades and made their leaders rich. is it our fault that they are led by a bunch of greedy monarchs who build lavish castles, travel the world and do whatever they want? they create their own destiny just like we do, they've got AKs and RPGs out the ass and if they want to have a better world they need to stand up and do something about their issues instead of having to be put in check by the civilized world all the time.

Then have the FBI scrutinize every Muslim in the country and deport any radicals, now would that solve the problem as you see it or would you rather just start killing muslims everywhere. I think the war isn't being fought against terrorists but for profit. Call them what you want, but the corporations need a war to offload their wares, ammo, missles, tanks, etc. Are there a few pissed off muslims, hell yeah, and rightfully so, we've been fucking over them and their lands for years! Just think about Iraq and the hundreds of billions already spent on the corporations running the war, you know, Haliburton, all of Halliburtons subsidiaries like Brown & root etc. Now days the corporations do 90% of the support for the military, food, lodging, laundry, maintenance, transportation, construction all civilian contractors on no bid contracts. I don't hate our country at all. I'm a fanatic patriot. The current government has sold us out to the corporations and if any hate on my part is involved, it would be directed at the Bush-Cheney regime and the greedy corporations. The common people in this country are being fucked over by the same assholes that are fucking over the world. The American people need to stand up and take back their country. Maybe you would lose some money in that case, eh?

I guess we finally agree on something. I love my country. But it seems our country is only in love with the rich and powerful. I use to make 1.69 an hr. back in 1971 after moving to the south. But still I brought home 3 bags of groceries and got change back for a $20. Bought a 5 month old Toyota for 2500.00. And had money in the bank. Now, it's a struggle. But as far as the war, there will always be those who hate the freedom and priviledges we have and will do anything to disrupt it. All I'm saying is if I know someone is after me to do me harm, I going to find him first. Our country should do the same.

I don't put anything pass any party. They're all power hungry. Some are just willing to share the wealth. But not too much. Just enough to pacify us. Thinking that will be enough to keep our mouths shut. Even those who are willing to do good, are doing it too slow to make a differance. Because the poor can't give them what they want. MONEY. but the lobbyist can. So, they put the rest of us on hold. If you ask me what the biggest sin of our government is, I would have to say greed and having a big head. That's why there are many countrys out there trying to proove we're not all that. Even our so called allies. But if our country isn't careful, we will lose being # 1 in the world.
