Anything out there for combo Humidifer/Dehumidy? Found one perhaps...

So I haven't done all my home work, but I keep thinking when it comes to drying/curing it would be so nice to have a unit that just automatically responds and either humidifies or dehumidifies as needed.

I haven't found anything but then I stumbled across this niche product...

So the percentage humidity isn't right for this hobby, but there's a sensor somewhere involved. Perhaps it's adjustable (even if you have to crack the unit open and find some potentiometer in there somewhere) or perhaps the manufacturer/dealer would be willing to work with the community and even establish a new product themselves (or if they don't want associated with the industry, make an 'adjustable' version)...

Anyhow, facing the dilema of wanting automation and a set-it-and-forget-it system, this seems like the route to go...

I use a heater in conjunction with a window ac unit. By tinkering with one or both I can rather easily set a consistent temperature/humidity environment anywhere between 62-90F and 38-70%. I currently have it set to 76F/40% for drying of dense indica nugs. I do this by choosing "Dry Mode" (basically low setting) on ac unit and setting heater to low. But if I wanted, say, 76F/50-60%, then i'd switch ac unit to medium or high speed and tinker with heater intensity until I achieved it. But I live in [humid] Louisiana, so this allows me to fluctuate up and down in good ranges; if you live in a dry area, then this will give you a range that's too low.

Hey hey @DonTesla
sounds like your in the market for a vacuum sealed curing cabinet
Was actually looking for a way to trap terps essentially, and also a way to store medicine, long Term. A friend and I started drafting schematics up but by the time our hydrosol knowledge was up to or near par we realized doing it professionally (in a cabinet) was not wise, for example 3-second mono-flask swaps would be impossible to pull of in a cabinet vs on a counter top open and unrestricted.. And so on. So the misting and steaming features are withdrawn for now while we go ahead and build a cure cabinet now, just by itself. Looking at using Spanish cedar, micron shelving and a perhaps a pressurizing system and heating mechanism to create different curing effects. High intensity, duration, smoothness, density and flavour are affected by various things so it would be nice to cure a couple different ways :)
