Apartment Grow Setup

I am in the very early stages of research for my first indoor hydro grow. I live in a high rise apartment complex and was looking to setup in a spare room I have. Obviously because of where I live stealth and discreetness is the priority. The room I am working with should be able to fit up to a 10x10 grow tent. This is what I have in mind so far:
-A DarkRoom II DR150 (which is a 5x5 tent)
-1 600w lamp (I am also considering this LED; https://www.maineindoorgardensupply.com/led.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=1977&category_id=30)
-Ebb Monster 6 site system (Ebb Monster - 6 Site System w/55 Gal Res |)

This setup will be used for seed to smoke. I am growing purely as a hobby. I am thinking since I live in an apartment smell is probably going to be my biggest concern. Should I go with an ozone generator or will just a carbon filter suffice?
There really isnt a budget for this build so I am open to any suggestions.

I can definiatly see smell being an issue, A carbon filter should cutb the smell down but if you can afford an ozone generator that would be a good invesment as it should last a lifetime.
Good luck anyways.

I'd say u can set it up pretty easily dude - its no different to setting up a tent in any other residental property! If anything a high-rise apartment is often better - u haven't gotta worry about ground-floor/pavement level smell leakage and also the wind at 10 stories will be alot stronger so any smells escaping outta windows will be blown & diluted so much more before reaching any neighbouring windows.
Also, 1 other good thing i found in a high tower block is that pretty much no insects get up & inside! I've suffered so much less with flies & insects in a high-rise & it means the only risk of contamination is yourself. (tho i've been guilty of sloppiness in the past, i must admit!)

Otherwise, with regards to ur set-up, i'd say a large size, good quality carbon filter should cover 6 plants up to 4 foot high. If u growing over that height then i'd say just get 2 large size good quality CF's.
Ozone generators do seem cool but from what i've read they seem more suited to larger size, commercial grow-rooms as they do come with alot of conditions of use & can be damaging if wrongly used. To me they still seem more an industrial product rather than a fully domestic one. But i've never used or seen one is use myself, so i'll happily stand to be corrected if so.
And if there is still slight leakage with a CF, i'd say a couple of Ona Blocks or some air freshner is usually enough to mask it out.

And if u got the money to spend, then to keep fan noise down, buy a fan that is twice or more the speed u need so then u can always run it on half speed. It should sound helluva alot quieter than a fan which just matched ur needs running at full speed. Obviously u'll also need a fan speed controller for this, but that will be easy enough. And again, if possible buy quality - a solid German or Swiss made fan will be worth the extra expense when u see how swish they are!
Also, try & think of things u can do to cover noise such as always having a radio/music/TV on low, or having communal windows open when people visit, so the outside noise masks the internal noise abit more, etc.

carbon filter is good.
ozone is better.

You just need to keep the ozone out of your grow room, because it isn't good for your plants.

The diamond standard of quiet inline fans are Soler and Palau. They run very quiet. The noisiest part is the air coming out of the ducting. To combat this, use a larger fan. The larger the diameter, the quieter the fan is.
