Apollo 8 LED from Cidly, ACTUAL HANDS ON REVIEW.

So I just bit the bullet and ordered the Apollo 8 from Cidly. It's hard to say I was skeptical, but at the same time, all the users I've seen out there, seem to write 2 sentence reviews. And well, this light seems to be all the hype, minus the middle man. I should be getting the light between now, and next weekend. It pulls 256 actual watts, across 150 LEDs. Each pod contains 15 LEDs, with a maximum of five blue LEDs per pod. So the Apollo 8 will have 8 pods. My spectrum I designed will be 5-660nm, 5-630nm, 1-610nm, 2-460nm, 1-430nm, and one white at 3500k. According to Cidly, the LEDs are EPILED out of Taiwan, and the drivers are confidential. They would say this though 1420mA input current and output maximum 70W energy. Just an FYI, I paid $306 for this thing total, so I figured it was worth a shot. I'll post more as soon as I get the sucker unboxed.

Ha! One would hope. But who knows, maybe the Falcons will bring out the dogs? Lol. Yeah, and I'm completely unbiased in the review. I mean, hope its everything I have it cracked up to be. But if not, I'm glad I can steer you guys clear.

Hey i've looked and been interested in these apollo's, and maybe i'm not looking hard enough.. but do you know the dimensions to the apollo 8? I have been wading through all kinds of LED manufacturers and love seeing people reviewing them... i'd like to one day be all LED

Me too. This is my first LED grow. I've been about CFL for this, because all of my grows are mini grows. I recently bought an Ikea Hemnes wardrobe that I'll be growing in. I'm pumped. I've recently came across a little bit of money, so I'm trying to do a small, but high quality grow. I'm going to start a journal from everything from set up, to flower. I'm just finishing the mods to the chamber, waiting on the light. But essentially the light is 19.5"x11.5". And don't worry about over looking the math, it's right on top of my head. A lot of research had gone into that light.

And I just realized I did bad math. There's actually only 120 LEDs in it pulling the 256w, not 150

Good news. It shipped out from China today. Here comes step two of the review, actual time in building and shipping.
