Okay, to be clear, over the winter we will be redesigning our grow area and will probably invest in some COB LEDs. Still in research and design stage.
That being said, I recently ran across a very lightly used Apollo purple Reign adjustable ballast that claims it can run in 1000, 600, or 400.
Now I am aware that Apollo is not top of the line. I have used their ballasts.
My questions are:
I have read that these only work well in 1000watt mode?
How hot do they run?
IR an issue?
