For osteoarthritis in my knees I use cannabis infused coconut oil. Oral and topical. If I'm making it for topical use I use the every thing roots and all. Also add some bees wax in the topical one.
For oral use just standard coco oils infused w good quality bud. I also save the plant material after I strain the oil out and use it in a tea strainer just so I don't waste any lol.
Hope that helps a little

No pro yet on self medication. But do believe CBN is good for inflammation. (Amber tricomes)

I make my hash and coconut oil heavey on CBN and CBD along with the THC. Full spectrum is where it's at.. IMHO.

You're on the money there, for CBN is actually turning into "the new best thing" as more and more research into different cannabinoids is carried out.

The THC and, especially, the CBD hit the inflammation as well as being natural analgesics, and I swear by CBD for that side of things, and the CBN acts on specific sensory nerves which helps ease pain. It can also help suppress the immune system which is an issue with Rheumatic Disorders such as Rheumatoid Arthritis where the immune system goes haywire for any number of reasons and attacks the body. And with CBD and CBN both being vasodilators they help ease off the build up of fluids at the affected areas, again helping to ease the symptoms.

So you've called it right, as, depending on the individual, one "compound" is not enough, you need to hit the affliction from multiple angles to maximise the benefits from this wonderful, natural, herb that has been known and proven to be a benefit with all sorts of conditions from pain control to depression to glaucoma to diabetes and everything in between.

Someone posted (back up the thread a bit) that smoking doesn't help him that much. I have been smoking for about 50 years and haven't had it help my arthritis, but recently I have been vaping CBD. That was about July 2 or 3rd. I could only walk almost exactly 450 feet before resting my hips. Now I can go literally all day working outside without them bothering at all. Some other med issues have drastically improved, too. Could it be that it had something with a small skin cancer drying up and falling off my head?

It may have eased my hands and knees some, but not like the hips. Fortunately, Oklahoma has opened up to MMJ and we an grow enough to really find out which strain help an which don't.

do you think a cbd edible would work better, like how with THC edibles delta 9 converts to delta 11 ?
I really don't know anything about CBD or any of the things that are in the oils (or plants). I am in the process of learning, though. This is my forth year of trying to grow. 2016 - dismal failure. 2017 - failed but not as bad. 2018 - This year there will a little. But, I learned enough to get a good crop next year. Then I'll be able to make oils from a variety strains. Don't know just what the law in Oklahoma is going to be, but right now there doesn't seem to be a limit on what you can grow. It was 6 mature and 6 seedlings, but that's not in the latest law posted by the state.

CBD is what they sell in the shops right now and that's what I'm using. What's really cool besides the arthritis is the cancer that fell off my head. Not the other cancer is starting to act the same way. It's getting very dry, hard, and standing up a little higher. That's exactly what the first one did.

If I can get rid of these little skin cancers and stop my arthritis from hurting so bad I will be in really good shape for 79 years old.

I just wonder what would be involve in setting up a simple lab to test oils.
