Attic Venting a 2x2x3 w/led light

I have searched and have not really found anything on the topic. I know it isn't a good idea with the heat from a mh or hps and the humidity. Cabinet is in garage. Intake would be from inside the house and was thinking of running a vent between the walls, mount fan in attic in a soundproof box and just exhaust into attic. Carbon filter will be used. intake air temps would be around 73-75 degrees, very little heat from lights. Anybody see any mold mildew issues?

If you are going to do that, why not add a few feet of vent and go right out the roof like an exhaust hood for kitchen or bathroom. One of those flapper style would do just fine.

I'm renting. I can pull drywall to install ducting and then retape and float joints. Do the same to remove it when we move out. I cannot cut into the roof. When we buy, I will use this same set up and install a vent all the way to the roof. Just can't now.

Unless there is very good ventilation in the attic you will keep it too moist up there and will eventually get mould. If you get cold winters you'll also get frost up there that will melt in the spring and rain down through the ceiling. Happened to a guy I know. (nudge nudge, wink wink) :)
