I'm getting the Nikon D40 digital slr camera kit with 2 lenses next month. Great camera, with all the extras it's about $800.00. Once I learn to use it I'm going to start to travel more often and take some great pictures. I've always wanted to do that my whole life.

I just got my canon 20d with an ext. flash, a few is lenes and some other extras. Its only 8.2 pix but it is a kick ass cam.

hello my friend. i am currently using a Cannon PowerShot A540. 4x optical zoom, 6.0 mega pixels. i really like it.

I just wish i could get awesome pictures I have the kodak 853, 8.1 mp and i just can get close enough!

Just learn the settings on your camera. Even cheaper digi cams have a close up function. Search online for a manual and read about it.

Yep donnie is right on it. but you will need to download some type of software for editing.

I only wish it had a manual zoom feature for better close up shots... The digital macro does good but the autozoom has a bad threshold... When i get real close i can see it focus for a second so i know its capable but it does not stick...

But all in all its pretty good... =]

EDIT... I mean manual focus... duh...

Fdd that digi pic shows mad detail.......... Did you add photoshop to the mix? You know the more i think of it i need to upgrade my digi.

I have the cannon powershot a540 too. I like mine aswell

There's a close-up macro button on the top of the camera on the dial. It's the flower.
