I am on my way to selecting an Aurora Indica mother plant, and thought I would try to document the process as well as I can. I purchased 5 feminized seeds from Nirvana. January 27[SUP]th[/SUP] I soaked the seeds in water for about 12 hours. Incidentally, 2 sunk and 3 floated initially, then another sunk, and within 15 minutes all were floaters.
Anyhow, after the soak, I wetted a couple of napkins and placed the seeds within the folds, on a plate covered with another plate upside down to keep the seeds in darkness, and placed them on top of our refrigerator. Within 24 hours (January 28[SUP]th[/SUP]) they looked like this:
Sunday (January 29[SUP]th[/SUP]) all seeds had cracked and had root protruding! Seeds were transferred to Jiffy pots that day.
As of today, 2 have popped their heads up.
The plan is to let these little gals get about 11.9 inches tall, then cloning them and flowering the clones to see which one is a keeper. I will try to keep this updated at least once a week.
