This was the first grow with these new lights. I had just got 6 of the new Gavita de pro 1000watts and running the Gavita master controller with them. It was a bit a rush job the next one hoping for bigger things. And everyone was saying that you have to run a AC with them It was all cooled by 4 large fans at over 5000 cfm and ran prefect. And already have the next one on the go and there was a bit of fine turning to the room with this grow DSC01678.JPG DSC01679.JPG DSC01680.JPG DSC01681.JPG .

So; i have been on these forums before; thought i would register; I haven't started growing just yet, but i wanted to know how you guys go in summer? Is temperature usually a problem? I also wanted to know where you guys get your seeds from? Is it safe for aussies to order off herbies? What seedbanks do you recommend or use today? What is a good strain for the aussie climate? Thanks heaps!

I'm in the west and I have to either keep my plants in a somewhat shady spot or use a shade cloth otherwise a lot of them get burnt or wilt heavily. I used to use herbies but had a couple of orders not come through so I switched to discreet seeds and have got every order since. Unless you're ordering a bunch of seeds if they find them they just throw them out

Last bit of training has been done. The delhi friend x blueberry (top of picture) has just been topped as well as lst'd yesterday so in a week its going to be looking pretty good. Og kush at the bottom got a bit of tying down as well but I think I will just let them grow upwards from here till harvest time

Might try making some feminized seeds with them I have 3 brazilian sativas I just popped to also include in the seed making, if not feminized seeds I might cross them with a brazilian sativa male if I get one out of the 3 to make some interesting blends

We had 3c last night. 12 degrees at our place. But a nice 21c in the grow spaces.

Little cab is running a 90w blurple. And the big one is about 180w.

Your inside the house you lucky bugger..i'm out in the dog house and its not very well insulated. im struggling to get to 21c during the day. I just reset my thermometer so ill have a accurate night time temp but it was 13c in the tent at around 9:30 am this morning. Will NOT be investing in a heater, the cost to run and the fire risk isnt worth it to me.

I may be inside. But our place has very little insulation. Certainly none in the walls. I know that because a friend whose no longer a friend, punched and kicked four or five holes in our walls one day. 12 degrees in winter is considered warm inside.
