hey every one hope this is the correct thread, but i have ordered 5 white widow autos and a couple fem strains. and this is my first grow so i have a few questions or looking for some good tips. so my first concern is how many to grow obviously would be ok with more than not enough, but this is a personnel grow and would like to have enough to last till harvest time next year (i go threw about 1-2oz a month of mex crap). also a family member hew dose not smoke but would like to make edibles. i first thought to do all 5 autos and one normal fem plant but did some math and if i get 100g from each auto and say 500 from the fem thats over 2 POUNDS and i feel like thats probably to much haha. but then their is a chance they dont produce that much or some die... so like i said my first grow an i would rather be safe than sorry. so let me here some opinions thanks.

im growing in woods in a clearing if that helps? and tips on nutes or soil mix for that type of area would be grate.

Pulling a key off five autos and one photo on your first grow would be remarkable. Even if it was in your yard where you could water it with a hose. But in the woods you have to deal with rippers, deer, rabbit, gophers, grasshoppers. . . . .

I always recommend new growers to pop a dozen or so bag seeds two weeks before your bought seeds. You will learn by doing.

Good luck.

The goal of any first grow should be to just get a useable product. A lot of things can happen and likely will until you get dialed in. Regardless of how much you get, its very a satisfying feeling when you roll up something you grew. So don't worry about yield, enjoy the ride and the victory smoke at the end.

As far as nutes go, it's going to depend on the soil. How are you planning on growing these? Are you going in ground or pots? Is this a guerilla grow? Do you have to hike gear in?

i own a large property and am able to get a vehicle to it,grow will be in a large clearing in the woods. i will be digging 2x2' holes and adding my own soil mix (so in ground grow) and i think im going to use dyna-gro nutes. also will be using cages around them to protect from animals . And i have been doing research an reading all kinds of stuff since winter on the subject so im hopeing that helps me from making to many mistakes, also hope the veg garden i have every year might give me a edge haha . thanks for the reply

You might want bigger holes for your photos. Bigger hole= bigger root mass = bigger plant= bigger buds.

I'm doing a similar thing. I'm using 3x3x2 holes filled with super soil bought bulk from a nursery. Nutes shouldn't be necessary but I'm using compost tea with light amounts of the ej line. Just keep things like microblast and meta-k around and you will be able to counter a majority of any issues you run into. The 2x2 holes should be plenty big enough.

I am going to start a grow journal in a couple days, just finished digging my holes mixing soil and putting it in the holes im going to wait a couple days for the ground to dry a little bit (just had about 2 weeks of rains and flooding)and the soil mix to level out, also couldn't find a PH tester today so going to keep an eye out for that.

Miracle grow is shit and mixing it in your soil can fuck your soil up I've heard of miracle grow being blended in and bam pots full of mushrooms on top or fucking gnats I hate miracle grow ok rant over
