Auto-Flowering: Really worth the yields?

Hi! I am looking into starting my first grow. I have been doing quite a bit of research and i was wondering, are auto-flowering seeds/strains worth their output? I would be indoor with about 600w of HID lighting. Would it be more worth my time to perhaps go work a straight feminized strain. Im not looking to have the hugest crop ever just enough for myself and one other person. Much thanks!

See autos are good because they finish real fast so you can have constant harvest of moderate yields, some autos ive seen are giving up to 3-4 OZ per plant under good conditions..

if time isnt a problem you get bigger yields and higher quality with a reg fem, might take an extra month to finish but there's alot more different strains to choose from plus you can clone them..

Autos are cool but if i had the chance id grow some straight up FemRegs do a cross breed with L.A. Mist x Vanilla Kush yeah man sweet as..

they're lifecycle is determined by age not by light schedule.
this means that you cannot control the veg period.. you can clone it.. but it just won't be very successful as by the time you are ready to clone 'em they are ready to flower.. that also means that the clones will start flowering whilst they are trying to root.. thus you basically end up with a tiny bud sticking out of the soil..

why not try 12-12 from seed if you a looking for perpetual constant supply..

read here >> https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/416589-12-12-seed-thread.html

it also means you can grow whatever strains you like and are not limited to autos'..

also auto's need at least 18/6.. that can get costly if you are running them constantly at that schedule..

wait the auto-flowering plants cant be cloned? if so, how come?

The only thing I like about autos is the turn around time. Generally lower yield and low potency arnt qualities I look for. But they are perfect for first timers, very very difficult to get wrong. I can't see myself growing them again tbh.

Autos are quick and easy. Potency can be just as good as photoperiod strains but yields are lower but the bud per time would be about the same if not a little lower. I run autos when I am getting my system started so I don't have to wait he full three months before seeing any bud. Autos use more electricity if you run your lights 18/6 rather than 12/12. I am running one auto and four reg plants in my number two tent. The auto.will.finish before my number one tent is ready.
