Autopilot APC8200 APC 8200 CO2 Controller Trouble Stays on After Reaching Setpoint

Ive had this controller for about 3 years and then yesterday in my room I noticed it was a bit warmer than normal near my CO2 generator so did some inspecting and saw the CO2 level was at 2800ppm! Setpoint was at 1350 with deadband of 50 and I could see the green indicator light for CO2 output was not on but whatever controlls the outlet from staying on did not disengage.

After messing around with it and banging on the "double plug" type thing that has the mechanics of turning on and off the power to CO2 unit it ended up working again normaly and still is.

Thinkng its time to get a new unit but might go with a different brand because that could have been a disaster on multiple fronts. Are these autopilots known to be junk, should I get another one of the same or a different more reliable brand?
