Ayahuasca brew

My p.i.c. has been trying to make a successful ayahuasca brew. Hes a organic chem major getting his doctorate right now so its not that he doesn't know how to make it. He has ordered from two different sites and the batch of vine and bark did not work. Are a lot of online companies selling crap stuff? At first he tried mimosa from a site, then now hes using the caapi mix from heavenly products. Any good sources for purchasing these products? Either this or someone know how to extract dimethlytriptamine out of grass? hah I don't really know how to help him.

Syrian rue is a better source for the harmala alkaloids than caapi, even if caapi is the traditional source. If he's in the process of getting a doctorate in chemistry, especially focusing on organic he should know how to run an extraction and characterize the extract to make sure the actives are present. And know how to extract from grasses. Or anything else for that matter. Even if he had only taken first year organic those things should be trivially easy.

Thanks. I'm sure he does but I am relaying information. Doesnt help he just moved half way across the united states. I just sparked his interests to experiment.
